I know that feeling, then I learnt a new set of skills: panic and flee.

Hmmm... I feel a measure of over confidence is setting in, I've started submitting to interdictions now... it's all going to end in tears soon enough I expect.
Then get three 27" like mine
Centre is 1440p which I use for every other game sides are just cheap and nasty for elite.
Funny. I've been thinking the same this morning. Get a couple of cheap 27" 1080p monitors and run Elite at 5760 x 1080, then for other games just use the centre monitor at 1440p.
Already thinking about this, one main 1440P screen. Do you not need the other two screens to match the res though? Well I assume not, you just need to run the middle monitor at 1080p also?
Running at that res, does that mean you can have the 2 side panels on screen at all times? I assume you can't have them open all the time. There's just not information on screen for me. I need tags on things in the HUD. Just a name and distance would be good![]()
Is there anything which shows what buttons on the x55 hotas are by default? Like what all the hat switches do etc?

Yes, yes you can. Think of it this way the x55 you get 4 different springs and can run it without the spring... perfect for every occasionI was just thinking can I justify buying myself a x-55 rhino, for Elite, DCS and FSX hmmm decisions![]()

There is a program/site someone has made that creates a diagram of what you have binded your keys as by reading your settings file.
Think it's this one http://www.mcdee.net/elite/
Just click x55 reference tools then select the file it asks for on your system
