Been having a fun evening in ED
Saved up some pennies, bought a hauler, and it had less cargo space than my upgraded Cobra! So I sold it back and fitted 2x 16 unit cargo holds in the Cobra and carried on trading.
Got a nice little route going now, so back up to around 75k in the bank. Got a few interdiction kills against NPCs, but I'm not sure what to do next. There's so much choice of things that I could do, that I'm not actually sure what I want to do!
Might swap out some of my modules, fit a fuel scoop, and head off into deep space for a while.
Quick question though - when looking at the navigation pane and choosing the target that I want to jump to, is there a way to change what gets displayed? I don't really want to see asteroid belts and planets. I'd rather just have a list of stations or jump points to other systems.
If I want to get into mining, then I'd want to turn those things back on, but at the moment, they only clutter the list when I'm looking for stations to dock at.
And when I'm trading, is there a shortcut for 'buy as many of this item as I can afford or will fit in my cargo hold?', Click holding on the + buy button doesn't take too long, but it is a pain.
And similarly when selling stuff I have to scroll through the list of commodities to find what's in my hold, select it, click sell, and then click the + sell button until it counts up to however many I have. I can image that will get tedious when a large ship could carry a few hundred of an item.
Ship outfitting is a chore though - hopefully that will get a make over in the not too distant future.
All in all, I'm having great fun. It's much improved from the last time I really played it, which was early on in the beta, and now I'm really keen to get my hands on the X55 that Santa is bringing me tomorrow.
Speaking of which, best be off to bed to make sure that I'm asleep for when he arrives!
