Keep getting Motes of Light to add to my already vast collection.
Apart from buying shiny bits from The Speaker, wth are we supposed to do with them now, seeing as Xur is not selling the an exotic engram anymore ?

On the Destiny Companion app in Grimoire/Places there are an extra 2 planets, Saturn and Mercury, is this an indication of things to come do you think ?

The hardest part to the whole raid is the Lamps, the Bridge can be done in 5 mins flat with no deaths, the death singer is easy if you know where to stand, and Crota is a simple kill with the kneeling Cheese.

It's really a poor raid compared to VoG :(

i did the towers solo on all 3 of my guardians (one of each) this morning using the exploding tower cheese, its pretty easy its just a case of maxing out your agility and having a weapon with +2 agility as well ......... and a good sniper rifle for shrek at the end
 
I get all the way to omin-***** and then get sent back to orbit beacuse of an anteater. It must have had solar damage. :/

2nd attempt got the chest of Alpha Lupi. Probably not worth bothering solo for the time it takes. Might do it again on xbone with other charachters + weekly if others want to party up over the next few days/ w/e.

I had 3 Characters but only 2 did it, another one repeated to help a couple of guys as my Third character is a PvP Hinter, I completely neglected the story for unlocking the strike.

Should unlock today so give me a shout when you're doing it :)

I died 27 times. I managed to get at the shrek guy :P only once but i forgot to stay at the last tower so i couldnt jump over the rock and thralls came and died. After wards the exploding cheese either wouldn't send me over the wall or i wouldnt even manage to get at the rock before the explosion thralls are everywhere and i have maxed out agility +2 agility from murmur. Oh well i got frustrated at some point and was doing bull i suppose. ill try again today or tomorrow. Plus only energies from CE and VOG first chest. oh well

Just saw this video about the first bridge using the lamp explosion as a boost to put you at the higher platform. I might try it tonight


Makes you feel really dump for going with 5 more ppl and trying to stay alive for the bridge to rise in 4 mins compared to what this guy does.

PS. I saw the above video, i cannot commend on the sound as i had it on mute so dunno if the person sounds or does anything weird. He dances quite a lot maybe thats why the thralls don't get to him :D

I just run the first two parts solo on all three characters then look for a group with with a crota check point.

It's so much quicker.

You need to be sat further forward on the Rock you launch from, it's angled upwards.

If you sit too far back its flat, and you get flung into the wall.

Which isn't the end of the world because if you are quick you can simply walk round the corner and onto the ledge anyway.

But half the time you end up being tailed by thralls so unless you can turn invisible for a few seconds to get away you will have to start again.

I wish i had invi, i am a warlock though. I will figure it out, i seem to jump more than i have to while all the videos i see people are like driving the character left and right with minimal jumping. I like hive but they stress me /scare me?! :P

Also thanks guys for the nightfall was my first and fastest i would ever have! Helped me get my vanguard at lvl 3 and finally got rid of the queens chest! Now need to do the weekly :D
 
Got given Hard Light from the chest in the lamp room :)

Btw was thinking about the XP boost you get from doing the Nightfall, is it not completely useless now ? After lvl 20 all xp gets you are motes of light and we all know what they're good for, don't we ?
You wouldn't attempt the Nightfall pre lvl 20 as that would be silly, so the XP boost is redundant imho.
