This is why I would most likely put the kid up for adoption (if it was my kid) and hope he doesn't find out later in life what he had done.

Pretty irrelevant point to make when most of those guns are held at home, without ammunition, as a result of mandatory military service.

So Switzerland has lots of guns without bullets, locked away safely in homes and surprisingly not many people get shot with them.

They also lack the ghettos and the associated 'boys in the hood' gang types that come with them...

Both of his posts in that small exchange make perfect sense to anyone with basic comprehension skills, with the small exception of missing the word 'that' in his second post. He doesn't need to lay off the crack, you just need your reading glasses :p

You suggested that maybe guns aren't the problem, based on the Swiss example.

Xordium agreed, suggesting that it's commonly accepted the problem is users, advocates, manufacturers etc. however without guns, then gun users are no longer a problem as they have no guns to use, advocates are not a problem as they have no guns to advocate, manufacturers aren't a problem as they have no guns to try to sell...

Guns themselves might not be the problem but without them, the real problems cease to be able to be a problem.

I think you are on your own if you couldn't understand it, it was an incredibly simple point, it certainly isn't the incomprehensible nonsense you suggested it was.
 
So the problem is the users without the guns as well as the advocates and the manufacturers, so then the users have no guns to shoot advos cant advo cos theres no guns and gun manufacturers stop making guns.

The problem is gun users (and or advocates etc, replace as app).

However if you take the guns away, you don't have gun users anymore, so you've indirectly removed the problem, even if the gun itself isn't the problem.

Sometimes it's easier to just man up and admit you made a mistake when reading something, rather than try and argue until you're blue in the face that something made no sense by posting nonsense like the above.

I doubt I'll be able to explain it any simpler than that so I'll leave you to it now, I'm sure Xordium will later attempt to smash his head against the same brickwall, maybe he'll get through.

Edit, actually re reading that, you might have finally got it, I'm not really sure :p

Good job she is dead before someone else got shot with that gun. is all I can say

And thank god she got shot by her 2 year old son and not another child or mother..
