The most interesting part i found is Crucial have released a tool fo managing your SSDs called 'Crucial Storage Executive'.

tried to update firmware on mine m500 a while back. downloaded update.exe from crucial website, for some reason it would always say there is no drive needing update (funny enough it worked no problem on my laptop with same m500.) didn't follow up on that, as didn't bother me enough.

now gave this Storage executive a try and it immediately offered the update and after 2 clicks and reboot all done.

so thumbs up for this.

also hope on repeated firesale of M550 or MX100 to clear space for MX200.

This only for crucial SSD's? or can it work with other drives as well (for SMART etc, obviously not firmware update)

just tried out storage executive ... its ok I guess - lets you see life of drive and smart drive features and a few other things ... I run 4 HDs and 2 crucial mx100 and it didnt detect 2 of my HDs.
