Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

Pretty sure that is a random picture taken from the internet and then posted on Twitter. Definitely not the same car or clothing. Also why wear a balaclava and then post a selfie?

Sky News are showing the police execution video but blanking out the nasty bit.

Basically the terrorists had already shot the Police officer at distance and he's lying on the ground in a bad way. They then walk up and shoot him in the head. And then get in the car and drive off.

Further to that, apparently this was the dialogue:

Muslim: You wanted to kill me?!
French cop: No, it's ok Chief

Before he kills him. Sickening :(

Arming our police force is giving in to the terrorist. We are a nation of non gun carrying police force, long may it continue.

so I assume you are also against ARV's and armed units generally? Since we are a 'non gun carrying police force'.

Hopefully this stupid anachronism won't stand much longer.

I expect not very many. But again, that's more about what people are choosing to do. I'd forward the idea that Christianity is very moderate primarily because it's popular in countries that are very moderate.

Christianity didn't used to be moderate, the catholic church tortured and killed scientists and anyone else who threatened their power. They also butchered a lot of the indigenous people of South America who wouldn't convert to catholicism.

how is that an argument against routinely arming officers anyway? What if an officer could take the shot but has to wait for an ARV?

There's no reason for an unarmed force in the 21st Century except for some tradition that is nonsensical in our day and age.

The only nonsensical thing would be to arm the police when they themselves don't want it and we can't afford it.

No I am not against arv's. I am against a police officer walking his beat carrying a fire arm.

In this country we as citizens are denied the right to arm ourselves, so the police should be armed to protect us from armed attack. If some mudslimes tried this in america they would expect armed resistance from the public, here they would know they would have free reign until an armed response arrived... which could be 30mins + in some areas.

What if a routinely-armed officer with a pistol feels compelled to initiate a firefight in the street with two well-armed, potentially armoured subjects? My point was that ARV officers have the weapons and training that equips them to deal with incidents like this whereas routinely-armed officers likely would not.

You don't have much of an understanding of policing in the UK, in that case.

Reporters sharing videos of a policeman being executed. I'm done. It disgusts me. Report it by all means but no need to share these videos of that poor mans last seconds, have some respect for his friends, family etc. So angry about that. It just desensitizes us to these acts of violence.

RIP :(

I hope they catch the muslim\islamist scum. I think it's time for another "paint the pedo Mohammad" contest.

ultimately though this achieves nothing but make life more difficult for other muslims...it makes people more right wing

The real problem isn't radical Islam. It is the people who cry racist and shut down discussion rather than acknowledge we have a problem.

Re the police being armed, the average French officer you see in the centre of Paris is either unarmed or has got a pistol side arm. Some are in cars, but loads are on bicycles.

Around the big landmarks they have the military on patrol instead wearing full combats, and they've got assault rifles or submachine guns. The military on police duties are friendly people up for a chat with a tourist, and lots of them are quite young. Sit out in a pavement café by the Musée d'Orsay, or go into the Les Quatre Temps shopping centre up at La Défense, and you'll see the same army guys keep going past all day.
