No the problem is indeed radical Islam. Those who cry racist or try to shutdown discussion aren't actually doing that, no one is doing that.

Agreed, a lot of the people who do this are themselves radical Islamists and decry any Islamic terror attacks as a western media conspiracy against Islam. The response to terror attacks has been the same for fourteen years now, it's just made the problem worse.

You've seemingly ignored the point I made about an officer with a sidearm having poor odds in a firefight against two people armed with assault rifles. Giving cops guns isn't a miraculous solution to prevent or stop shootings.

Understanding and discussion of it from both sides is lacking. The more extreme one side is, the more extreme the other becomes.
