Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

Haha the old "I don't like it so I'm not going to belive it".

I was actually there with another member of this forum who could validate but I'm sure I must be lying about that also

ah but my mate frank did the same think and they raped him and then killed him

so there you go

you don't see an issue with that?

besides it is a personal experience - perhaps you did have a chat with some people about religion when in Pakistan, perhaps you've interpreted some of that chat as being insulting towards their prophet, perhaps they did or didn't also... it really isn't too relevant

are some people around the world chilled out - yup

does Pakistan have an issue with people being killed for blasphemy - yup

is the fact that you had some ambiguous personal experience there relevant - nope

I want to see more activity within the Muslim community , not a twitter campaign that's crap .

Demo's on the street by the 10000s + all saying they don't represent it , exile them from the community's , shame them from the mosque .

Do you see that ? Nope.

So if they don't do that, they are condoning such actions?

As a human have you gone out protesting this act by a fellow human being?

Besides who says there aren't muslims in many of the mass gatherings today.

Exile who from mosques? These people? That's a bit easy with hindsight, and I wouldn't be calling on anyone to be just having them exiled. I'd want them phoning the police if they knew of these actions.

All you get is the token one on the radio and TV . We all know it isn't all Muslims its the "minority" but that's all it takes and its happening more and more .

All the left wingers and stupid scream racist at what I've just put but that's the way i and many others see it .

Who do you want to see on tv and the radio?

Why don't you go ask your local mosque what they think of this or do you want them knocking on your door.

tell you what - go into a Pakistani or Afghan town/village and insult the prophet... what do you reckon will happen?
Been there, done that nothing happened except laughs and giggles and an in depth discussion well into the evening.

Really? Why would you walk into a Afghan ot Pak village and start insulting Muhammed? Now this may just be me, but when I spent time in similar places that wasn't something that was anywhere near the top of my 'things to so' list.

As a muslim, I honestly don't get what I should do about this other than voice my opposition against it, which is pretty redundant anyway. Seems to be something that's specific to Islam as no one other group of people seem to have to share the burden of guilt like this.

Spot on, mate.

But they do have a significant link to you. They believe in the same teachings you do. That, importantly, is a thing of choice.

I can personally say if a member of my family or someone who shared a significant connection with me did such horrendous things I'd feel guilt. I'd hope I could have enough influence on them to stop them doing such things.

That here is the problem really, nobody in Islam wants to stand up and say that it's wrong. Nobody wants to be a true leader. They pay lip service 'oh yes, we condemn these attacks' but very rarely do they stand up against them. Look at ISIS in Iraq, entire villages and towns accepting them. You could say it's out of fear...that doesn't make it ok. You should not let others suffer just because you're afraid.
I've got the physical scars to show that I've stood up to people in such situations.

Load of bs mate imams and leaders of Islamic councils & countrys have stood up to them, you say no on stands up to ISIS in iraq, what are the Iraq army doing, the Iranian air force, the Peshmerga? just sitting their twiddling their thumbs?

As for villages accepting them it is fear, ISIS have executed many civilians who have spoken against them.

I want the Muslims on the TV , in mass gatherings - giving it to these ****ing scum to be honest . I mean exile them from the Mosque tell them your not Muslim , denounce them , call the police . these Muslim extremist are practising Islam somewhere ....
To be honest if i did that in Bradford , and went in and asked them what they think and why they are not on the street condemning it . I would be killed and that isn't a joke , seriously i would be.

No you wouldn't.

But the response you'd get would depend on your attitude when asking. Being accusatory to people that have done nothing wrong will annoy anyone.

Perhaps in your world but I don't find it necessary to lie.

You asked a question and posted an answer which basically tarred an entire people with the same thought process. I gave a real life answer to the contrary in order to show you that your thoughts on the matter are incorrect.

if you don't see the inherent problem there then it is no use - you've alluded to an unspecific conversation you've allegedly had - it is of little value

Pakistan may have issues in some places but in others it does not, same as every other part of this world.

nah it has some serious issues in general - perhaps you missed the bit about no lawyer willing to take up the case of an academic accused of blasphemy and then, after a year, when one did - he was shot... after being threatened openly by prosecution lawyers in court

I mean that's just issues in 'some places' when not a single lawyer is available to even defend someone accused of blasphemy for a whole year?

I didn't say nobody stands up to them...

Let's face it too, most Islamic countries have been found to be complacent to the highest levels of government in supporting Islamic terrorists. Look at number one himself, bin laden, lived in the same town as Pakistans biggest military academy! That's either an entire country full of morons or let's face it...the reality is, as stated by the United States at the time...they knew he was there.

Clearly you haven't lived or experienced a town like Bradford.

For such a multi cultural "hub" its very very divided and the tension can be felt in the air - unfortunately
