NBC News are reporting that one suspect has been killed and two are in custody.

Nothing to do with Iraq or Afghanistan. Remember 9/11 and the previous attack on same towers or any of the many other terrorist attacks in name of Islam all carried out prior to Iraq invasion.

Looks like they planned a viable getaway as well as a carefully planned assault. If they do vanish this is a worrying turn from the the usual assault and die or expect to die in the act.

To be fair you'll probably find countries like the usa have drawn up plans of attack on every country in the world. Just incase. Saying that it wouldn't surprise me if the UK had a plan to attack the usa locked away as a training exercise.

Weather the war would have gone ahead without 9/11 is debateable but it certainly acted as a catalyst.

Just heard this and they keep going on about 3 gunmen. I only saw two in all the videos and they were in and out of a two door car.

I can only assume he was in the back in the coverage.

9/11.... 7/7... A British soldier getting hacked to death outside his barracks... The rise of ISIS, beheading of journalists and the massacre of a whole school. Why does nothing surprise me anymore?

While I don't condone such attacks I am no longer shocked they are happening at all... The western world need to take a good hard look at its foreign (middle east) policy... How many civilian deaths have the wars in Afghanistan & Iraq caused? Contrast that number with the deaths caused by muslin terrorists and ISIS. I expect one is a multiple orders of magnitude higher than the other.

Question is if we stop do they? I doubt it thus its only going to get worse until some huge changes are made.

Something like the latest attacks and isis would have arrived regardless of a war.

There were 2 gunmen. They're looking for 3 people as someone drove them to the Charlie Hebdo offices, left the car and took off on a scooter. (According to French sources)
