Also for the people demanding that muslims take to the streets in protest, I would imagine it's not a very safe place to be for a muslim right now so a lot will be fearing for their safety at home rather than going out into a crowd full of angry white faces looking to blow off some hate.

Perhaps expect Muslims to take part in the protests by all means, but be sensible. I wouldn't be surprised if Muslims didn't feel safe enough to take part to be honest.

I'm in complete agreement with you, we both seem to be on the same page with this entire issue.

The ultimate irony in my eyes is that this part of the world that we are at such odds with has vast VAST amounts of a resource that the development of our society has become largely dependent - oil. We disagree with each other on some of the most fundamental elements of being a human being, but they have oil and we have cash to pay for it - so we're all pals!!

One of the problems with wahhabism is that wahhabis consider most other Muslims as apostates. Killing them is fine because they are not really Muslim.

How many Muslims have been killed or seriously injured by European far-right groups since September 11th 2001? Now ask yourself how many people of all races, creeds and colours have been killed by Islamic extremists in Europe in the same time period? The biggest danger to Muslims in European countries is from the Islamic extremists.

Oh come on, even as white person in an overwhelmingly white rural area I can see why many Muslims would feel apprehensive about going out and joining the protesters in the immediate aftermath. That was the whole point behind the solidarity campaign in Australia - to try to avoid that, but I can't stand here and state as fact that every white person would feel that way, just as its not fair to tarnish all Muslims because of a minority of extremists.
