Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

All the posts I removed were either by Frodo or quoted him.
Your point may have been legitimate so make it again if you like, however the member you were responding to is unlikely to ever take you up on it so don't waste your time speaking to him;)

I think the point I was making is worth having out there.

The guys at Charlie Hebdo have printed some offensive stuff in the past aimed at Jews and Christians. Some stuff I have personally found offensive. In my view that makes them jerks.

I have never felt the urge to kill them or anyone else for being a rude and offensive jerk. I doubt anyone will find any examples of Christians or Jews seeking to have these guys killed.

I use my right of free speech to denounce Islam.

Not because of the evil acts of the apparent few but because the rest don't seem all that bothered when this stuff happens.

After this attack, there were mock calculations on Twitter that showed 30-35% of Arabic speakers were in support of this attack.

That is 1 in 3 humans of one religious group that cannot be trusted, by that equation.

Now imagine that metric is accurate. What can you do with that?

We need to stop apologising for the ideology and treat it the same as other belief systems we may have grievance towards. Critics of the Religion should not face death.

I treat Muslims the same as I do everyone else in public, but I would never get close to them. And that is my right. They are entitled to a peaceful life free of discrimination but I should not be judged for not wanting to embrace their customs.

One of my best friends growing up was a Syrian who's mother fled the regime and setup life here. They practice their faith at family gatherings and can see sense in some things that don't add up and are big supporters of satire because that applies to all. I don't see why they all shouldn't be held to that standard if we are expected to play along nicely.

If muslim extremists kill muslims with no bother, whether they believe they are muslim or not, what makes anyone think that a mass protest is gonna change some retarded nutter's mind?

Don't confuse the distinct ideology of these terrorists with the traditional religious practice of the vast majority of Muslims. The terrorists want to engineer an us vs them mentality. Don't give them what they want.

I don 't think you'll ever get a satisfactory answer from the police on this.

The same reason they stood by while all of those kids in Rotherham were allowed to be abused by Asian organised gangs.

Left wing apologists, mid to upper class who themselves refuse to live among them.

It's middle class white people in positions of power that are the problem.

This won't end until all of society is truly treated equal on all fronts.

You are right. Totally right. But isn't it easier to stay away to avoid offending someone with a simple harmless joke to the point they could be enraged more easily?

I'm the same towards most Feminists too, stay clear of anyone who can't separate politics from everyday banter.

Thing is, these terrorists dont really care who gets in their way. Look at the fact that one of the policemen murdered was a muslim!!

On Monday, the lights of Cologne Cathedral were switched off in support of Islam.*
Tonight, the lights of the Eiffel Tower are switched off to remember those killed by the terrorists in the name of Islam.

* There have been weekly protests by the Patriotic Europeans against the Islamisation of the West (Pegida) since October. The switching off the lights at Cologne cathedral was a counter demonstration in protest against the anti-Islam marches.

Same here, i also boycott as much business i can that generates money for the middle-east/Saudi Arabia, i don't drive so i don't buy petrol and i don't fly Emirates or Qatar. I haven't eaten Indian food for almost a decade and try my best to ensure i don't eat Halal. I also hope that UKIP get enough MPs to make a difference and introduce labelling on meat they want so it'll be easier for people like me to avoid Halal.

Saudi Arabia is a good example. They treat their citizens like utter garbage, but that's ok because Team America likes their money.

While these attacks go on and we remain distracted, the real problem before us is allowed to continue.

I thought meat was already labelled Halal and not for our purposes?

What I don't understand, is why these attacks are never aimed at government? It's always the everyday people that pay the price.

Pakistan - a muslim country btw has had 30000 deaths ( all muslims - must be made clear) from terrorism. The same terrorists who call them selves caliphs in Syria/Iraq and the same ones involved in yesterdays attack.

Are we so quick to forget the school tragedy barely a few days old?

Point is the biggest victims are Muslims.
