Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

My sources have informed me there are 17 hostages in the Kosher Bakery not the 6 that Sky is reporting. That is a potential bloodbath and very serious. They need to plan this very carefully.
 
this morning when thousands of police were chasing two men i actually said to somebody, lets hope this isnt going to get bigger as they must have left the city bare of police officers.

You can and you can also justify mass killings within the right framework. The mental illness label for anyone who conducts a mass killing is lazy and naive.

Can you be a meat eater and still have empathy? If you follow an ideology where some people are less than you/sub human. Whether Nazi, Islamist... it is perfectly possible to massacre whithin that framework while not having any less empathy in general than say someone working in a butchers.

I'm not saying it's the only aspect (not at all for all cases) & the point was more in reference to the difference in how the media portrays both sides - not on the underline causes of terrorism (otherwise I'd have gone into the other factors, but incorrectly I didn't think it was necessary due to the context of the post). The media in the west attributes mass murder & possible mental illness for selective cases & dismisses the label of terrorism & visa versa for others.

Not necessarily... if someone is mentally ill then it is quite correct to report that. You'll also find reports about concerns of the rise in extreme right wing views in Europe.

They are now saying that there is a very strong possibility of a wave of attacks both connected and maybe some opportunist very soon.

The French police have now committed their best assets to these two situations leaving many parts of Paris and France open.

Anders Behring Breivik was found not mentally ill in the second screening.

Again, you are missing my point.

I was referring to the imbalance in media labelling regarding the cultural origins of the perpetrator in question, I obviously didn't make it clear enough in the first post, I don't think anybody who is a terrorist is mentally ill from medical perspective. I was speaking in the language of the media at the time to make a point (which you've apparently missed).
