Make sure you have D grade items for the non essentials. Life support, sensors, etc. These are the lightest. A grade for FSD & an A grade power distributor will allow almost permanent boosting with 4 pips to engines, to get you out of trouble.

Got an email last night from ED saying they had detected me using exploits and my gains have been taken away from me...
Checked my account and nothings changed, still got my ships my money etc so unless it's got something to do with rare commodities or SweetFX I have no idea wtf its about but nothing seems to have been changed
 
Check Reddit. There are guys there working out how all of the different systems compare.
e.g 4 pips to Sys makes shields 150% stronger than none. Really going into heavy detail

Out of interest you didn't refute using exploits. Was this part of the database screw up?
 
Cripes, since the update things have gotten a little busier..

Went to a nav beacon to find about 15 other bored commanders flying around scanning each other, wasn't long until one of them had a pop at me, he must have lasted 10 seconds, then my wingman engaged someone else - before we knew it we'd cleared the entire beacon of all commanders, was frigging hilarious, two even came back with torpedos to try and get us, but it was all in vain :p

some serious complaining going on too, but the way I see it - go to an anarchy nav beacon... expect trouble :D

Which system was this?
 
Ack! Still getting used to the increased thrust of the Cobra. I was exiting a station, lining up to fly through the toast rack, but overdid the thrust and slammed into the inside wall of the station. Took my shields out and my hull down to 30%!!

I suppose a 6000 credit repair bill is better than being a smear on the station wall though. That's why I'd never replace my shields, even for more cargo space.

It was Ngaliba, we knew it would be good because when we came out of Hyperspace there were around 15-20 other commanders mooching around the star in SC, dropped at the nav beacon to find an NPC anaconda being done by about everybody, was quite funny to watch...

We were just flying around at the start scanning each other, then me and a friend went off to kill an ASP with 30k on it, about halfway through a barrage of dumbfire missiles and multicannons end up in my tail, from some cmdr who thought he'd have a go - it all rapidly deteriorated from there :D

It's funny the amount of people who have a pop - then they end up at 50% hull and end up running for the hills, even with A6 thrusters my Python won't keep up with a moderatly upgraded smaller ship, you have to close them down ASAP or they end up getting away half the time, I might try C2 dumbfire missiles in a warzone later, I'm hoping they've been fixed..

If those are gimbled beam lasers? (not sure what else the G means) then you'll get more accurate targeting if you purchase better sensors, (better sensors = better gimble lock)
 
Anybody suggest places near Altair / Lave / George Pantakis Rares loop where I can pick up an A6 FSD for my ASP? I went over to the Founder's world this afternoon expecting them to have everything but no joy.

Class 5 slot for the Asp's FSD, how you gonna shoehorn a 6 in :confused:

if you can't get to Shinrarta Dehzra, then try Ridley Scot in Zaonce.

Yep,gimbled beam.

One thing tho,the multi cannons.....must be doing something wrong,but it`s hit or miss (no pun intended :P) if they actually fire.
