Shooting at French Satirical Magazine

The other group thinks we're giving Muslims too much of a free ride in this country to re-model entire areas into Muslim strongholds. And that things are going to get a lot worse before too long (they will, I have no doubt). Because Islam in its pure form is totally incompatible with anything that isn't Islam.

Funny that the west never experienced any of this 'islamic terrorism' until they started to invade most of the middle-east ain't it? hmmmmm

Nowt to do with foreign policies at all.

Funny also that France championed the recent attempts to legitimise the state of Palestine then a week later this happens too.... hmmmmm

:D:D:D I can't stop :D:D:D zoomee has gone lunny :D

/shrug. It's pointless anyhow; positions are entrenched.

One group thinks Islam is young and will become more tolerant as time progresses (good luck with that). They have a million reasons why we shouldn't blame Islam for acts committed in its name. And argue they aren't doing anything we haven't already done (historically).

The other group thinks we're giving Muslims too much of a free ride in this country to re-model entire areas into Muslim strongholds. Bloody well said...inconvenient to some but nonetheless, nail+head.

So we'll ignore the fight over women clergy, stance against contraception, stance against personal choice (i.e. abortion), intolerance of homosexuals, excommunication for members of Freemasonry, it breeds authoritarianism, it depreciates the natural world, ignorance of scientific principles, it's misogynistic, repression of sexual freedoms and so on.

Ok - I accept that most of those are problems Catholicism rather than Christianity but you'll still find the theme running through most denominations.................

1- Woman clergy is accepted by major denominations, and the ones which don't allow women priests have for the most part exponentially better viewpoints of women than Islam does at its best.

2-Lots of denominations have a fairly lax attitude to contraceptions, and traditional opponents such as the Catholic church have well reasoned out philosophy that ironically would actually benefit many societies to actually adhere to.

3- The Catholic church in particular has a particularly liberal approach to homosexuals, and again is not compatible with the generic islamic approach.

4- who cares about freemasons?

5-Most scientific breakthroughs and enlightened thoughts have been produced by scientists of a christian persuasion.

As usual you're chatting ****.

I suggest you call your union for a come back.

killing people over insults to the prophet has been going on long before the war on terror

Salmon Rushdie's translators for example

4- who cares about freemasons?

Me? ;)

I'm sure 330,000 other people residing in the UK do as well.

5-Most scientific breakthroughs and enlightened thoughts have been produced by scientists of a christian persuasion.

We're they Scientists in spite of being christians or Christians in spite of being scientists. I would wager that they were Christians simply because they had to be, especicially since the m ain definition of beinf a Christian is to be baptised - and how many 6 month old babies choose to be baptised ergo how many people actually chose to be Christian? FYI, I've never been baptised and neither have my children - although my middle child is expressing an interest so we're exploring the concept gradually with him.

On all your other points, they could equally apply to Islam. Islam isn't the problem. Christianity isn't the problem. Religion isn't the problem.

The propblem is nutters willing to bend a faith to justify thier actions.

I suggest you call your union for a come back.

Excellent comeback, well done Sir :D

Did you have croissants for breakfast?

Islam and Europe have clashed since inception. Will most likely continue to do so and there's no point pretending otherwise.

France's most wanted woman Hayat Boumeddiene is in SYRIA
Daily Mail‎ - 1 day ago
The wife of the Paris supermarket gunman may be in Syria, police sources have said.

Ok thanks.

Sounds like there was another French Muslim hero in the Jewish supermarket, a worker who locked several customers into the freezer to keep them safe during the siege.

With respect, a Jewish stronghold is Israel for example. It is also incompatible with Islam for various reasons (they have displaced the native muslim population in the main whom they consider the enemy).

The fact of the matter is and the magazine itself admitted on the BBC they were a Christian organisation and loved to wind up all muslims (particularly their sacred prophet) under freedom of expression laws because they got a bigger reaction than homosexuals and sexism. The I am Charlie banners says it all really. Actually, if they had the decency and respect for everyone of every creed - presumably they would not have attracted any fanatics at all.

Peace and love to all :)
