Of course i understand the point of the cartoon :confused:. A 5 year old would understand the point of the cartoon.

I was commenting on how interesting the depicitons of those two conflicts were.

I wasn't saying that they were driven by secular values, I was specifically disagreeing with the assertion that they were not within living memory.

As an enlightened people, religion should only really be something that is practised personally and it shouldnt be used as a basis for our laws anymore.

That is not to say a lot of what religion teaches isnt good because a lot of it is. Unfortunately many people seem to get fixated on the more ridiculous, outdated, morally wrong, unscientific and sometimes just plain evil parts of religious scripture.

Christian was destroyed a long time ago, particularly from state level, so you can say its already eroded in one way or another.

But it's not completed destroyed, and I would wager it will make a resurgence in the future, as it still has grounding and large following in large parts of the 'Western world', especially as more right wing and conservative groups become popular and take power.
