Will UKIP win its first seat in parliament tonight?

Still might not have the numbers needed, the Cons tried to schedule an EU referendum last year (may have been year before) but Lab/Lib banded together to veto it, and even then not every Con MP backed it.

Support for laving the Eu is higher in the Tories but it is far from unanimous.

There does need to be more regulation.

Why? I don't believe the media noise that get's created over "benefits tourism", or is it the fact that they contribute nearly £300m a year to our economy.

I honestly do not believe there is an immigration problem in this country and I have no idea why there is this need to leave the EU.

It needs reforming yes, a lot of things have changed in Europe over the last 56 years since it was formed, but to simply walk away from it all is the cowards way out.

Yes and get rid of maternity leave, paternity leave; give us gender discrimination, a US style healthcare system and less paid holidays.

What a wonderful life that will be

The main reason I feel we're better off in the EU, ideally with reform mind you. Amongst many things, the EU protects workers rights, and I don't trust any of the political parties to give a damn about them in the event of an EU exit, they would do whatever the lobbying businesses pay them to do.

At least UKIP have come straight out and said they want to repeal most of these, I suppose. I mean, who wants job security?

UKIP...you do know what they stand for don't you?

Yes. But we already had maternity leave, paternity leave before we joined the EU.
And what makes you think UKIP will turn the NHS into a private practice?

More like labour\cons will sell off more of the NHS IF they get back in.

Most of us are struggling to find UKIP's policies all we know for certain is they want us out of the EU, curb immigration and repeal the Human Rights Act.

What about running our country ? we can guess their economic model given their backers are a few very wealthy individuals and their leader is an ex-banker but again nothing tangible.

Once again Deuse entirely misses the point.

Yes we had maternity/paternity leave before the EU. Perhaps UKIP supporters could tell us why you support a party that wants to repeal them?

Why is it fair that "our own blood" (Australia, New Zealand, etc.) is discriminated against more (in terms of immigration) than some random person from Romania?

But is the answer discriminating against all of them equally?
