Finished watching X-Files, what next?

Warehouse 13 isn't bad, some similarities to the X-files with more of a light hearted feel about it.

I'll also echo a lot of other people here and say Fringe, it's very good at the moment.

Sounds like you will enjoy Fringe, personally I lost interest around season 3 up until then I found it great.

Being Human is pretty good for a bbc program

Really? S3 has been the best for me - pushing forward the main storyline a lot without random 'monster' episodes.

Do Millennium and Taken come to a conclusion? I wouldn't mind watching both of these but hate getting into something to find it stopping without finishing the story or closing off the plot.

The X-files was disappointing, the quality was very variable, when it was good it was some of the best TV, but when it was bad it was truly terrible. Overall not great I think.

How about... more X-files http://insidetv.ew.com/2015/01/17/fox-x-files/

Seems FOX want to bring the show back.

Didn't the X-files do fairly poorly in ratings? Thats all Fox seem to care about, so seems like a strange decision. Also from that link they want to bring Prison Break back? Wtf, they must be really struggling for ideas as that show was awful after season 1.

I'd love to see another series, it was a really good show imo. It would only work if the main cast are back though, its just not the same when either of them are missing. Gillian is looking very good for her ages as well, shes currently doing some British tv show.

Yeah she was doing The Fall which hasn't been renewed for another season yet, also in Hannibal. Duchovny is the lead character in the new Aquarius show (imdb is wrong and hasn't listed him for it right) so i can't see him being the lead in two shows. Still, maybe it'll get cancelled like most things these days and we'll get X-Files next year instead.

Not sure how I feel about this. I loved the X-Files, but it's had it's time really.

Can't see either Gillian or David wanting to be tied down to doing the same TV show again with heck knows how many episodes per season, especially if they are involved with other things. Maybe they would come back to it if the seasons were shorter.

They'd certainly do another film though. I think they both have said that they hope it will happen.

Guess we shall just have to 'watch this space', and see what comes of it.

The Lost room, was an intriguing idea with a good storyline , great shame it never got past the first series. Available on DVD now I think.

Gillian purposefully left the show in season 7 because she felt it had run it's course, she's hardly gonna come back and do it again.

The X-Files was at one point one of the most popular TV shows on the planet in ratings terms. It dropped around season 5 / 6 where it really should have been finished off.

Money talks.
