Todds loving the Joyetech eGo One. (the one I posted a few pages back) Not sure about that whistle though....

IMO, it would make a very decent starter kit.

A couple of people over on AAEC have the Ego-One, they seem to love the mod but are reporting the coils last no longer than 1 day, someone on another forum contacted Joytech about the same issue and they admitted that they are fully aware of this.
Seems a pretty big problem to me as they are non rebuildable.

Aye up guys,

Its been a day or two since my last post about my dripper/box mod etc.

Reason for that being, is that its just been hastle free, not had to change anything, just drip drip away @ 40w, 0.3ohms (peteys build), solid vapour, not had to mess or fiddle with anything just perfect vape all the time!

Absolutely superb. :D

Made a few words well a lot of words discribing the experiences here :D
So, after a few days with more than a 20w vamo, and a higher VG juice than iv had for 18 months which was 20% vg 80vg before for the past 18 months, heres my conclusions.

Was it worth paying the extra money for a decent box mod.

Yes, I got lucky and got mine second hand minted though! but.. - yes. 100w, pleanty to play with, the chip is rock solid, does everything Pefect. The sigelei box mod is fantastic, clean as hell, feels fantastic in my hand and I never thought id ever change from a tube/torch style device, this thing is fantastic. Fantastic fantastic fantastic!!, and I especially love the battery cover, it just clips into place with magnets, and they are strong as hell, don't even need the screws. Everything just looks flush nice and clean, dirt doesn't lay anywhere on it or stick in any places, it's just a really sweet solid well built device

30g/28g kanthal, who needs thicker wire? (im now on 24g)

Every one does, provided you have the mod to power it, Christ all mighty the amount of vapour you get off it coupled with a device to power it. Iv dropped my nicotine down to 2mg now down from around 6mg, and I still get the hits like I used to and the nicotine effects because theres much more vapour being produced.

does vg over pg make a difference?

Sure does. too many reasons to explain, but number 1 being, dense tasty clouds.

tank vs rda.

Not going to lie, iv got my little protank on a itaste vw3 which iv used for 18 months, I use that when im outta the house, I couldn't carry a big box mod in my arse pocket all day. well I couldn't carry any vaping device in my arse pocket unless you don't sit on your arse at all dur in the day.. :D but you know, the smaller device the better for at work and out and about.
But at home? treat your self to a dripper, infact no at home save money drippers are cheaper and a lot lot less hastle but you obviously do need to "fill her up" more often, few drops and you get a fair few good solid blasts of absolute Pure vaping perfection, rather than a, oh god is that coil starting to taste foul, meh gotta drain it and if it is going a bit crusty, all the rest of the liquid in the tank is wasted because its contaminated with the bad coil.

BATTERYS!... I can get cheap 5000mah batterys on ebay for £3!..........

Yeah you can, but they last 2 hours of vaping and take 20 mins to charge brand new.
Pick up a decent battery that cost £12 each, I thought there was something wrong with them when they took a few hours to charge,
That's because there actually 2500mah, ACTUALLY 2500mah batterys, and today at 40W vaping for 17 hours iv used 25% of the battery.... That's 75% still remaining!! And I chain vape like a chimney!
Ebay 3quid 5000mah batterys, more like 50mah, save your self a Molotov cocktail in your hand for a tenner extra.

Dual or single coil?
Iv always loved the single coil, still now love the idea of a perfect single coil doing the job, but in a dripper build for two coils with the terminal posts in the middle, one coil looks lonely stuck there on one side of it.
Vaping wise, for a tank I say single all the way there just isn't the space for a dual coil unless the coils are tiny, but if you do make a dual work and you like it then I guess it's all good, but in my experience I don't really like a narrow coil, the juice just can't get into it so why make your coils smaller to fit another one, the wider the coil the better more juice getting into it the better.
And then comes the dual which I use in my dripper, damn almighty, If you've never done a dual before and have a huge single coil @ low ohms, imagine twice the vapor being produced that's the only quick way I can explain it simply. Clouddsssss.
So single coils for small tanks etc like a pro tank mini or other mini device. if there's room then dual.
Dripper. Dual dual dual! Might even make a quad tomorrow to try :D

Airflow

Okay, you got a device with adjustable airflow, If you open the airflow fully, is it just air you in hailed? Then imagine if all that air you inhailed was dense thick vapor, well read all this post put it all together to fill that air you just inhailed with vapor, also if you've never had a dripper like a mutation x before which has about 50% more airflow than say a kayfun tank, then that's 50% more dense creamy vapour on top of what your able to pull through your device now. It's superb.
But really do aim to get the most vapour production from the amount of air flow your device and provide. At the end of the day, it's like a powerful car, will only go as fast as you press the pedal. So if your taking long drags to get the vape you need, why not just have the same amount of vape from a one second blast and have tons and tons left over for if you take the same length blast on it and output a lot more vapor.

Do I need the extra clouds?

In a way no, I didn't.. Didn't need anything else than what I had, if your happy with it enjoy what you have, I know I did, I just wanted to get into vaping more because I love making coils and messing with stuff and being creative. Coil making is a art after all right? :)
Once you experience it, nothing else will do. Might not be a cheap road to experience it, but if you know someone with a hand held fog device (a dripper + high powered mod), take a few pulls on it you will love it, if its set up for your kinda vaping that is.
I have my old trusty protank 2 mini and itaste vw3 set up to make the absolute most amount of vapour possible for such a little device, I thought it was a lot... It isn't.
The way I can only describe what it feels like to have so much warm smooth vapour that's full of flavour in your mouth is, well.
Grab your device now, take about a 3 second pull and no longer. do not lung inhail, just pull it into your mouth and hold it there for a few seconds, now, if your mouth feels like you have that taste and feeling you remembered having when you was a kid and you was told you could buy a expensive double ice cream cone from the ice cream van, and how tasty the vanilla ice cream was 20 years ago compaired to the whipped up foam they serve now a days. if you get that feeling. then you know you've got your vaping experience right.
If when you take a big pull, and its just like flavoured fresh air with a bit of a kick to it and the clouds like a bit of steam like when you sneeze and forget to shut your mouth, then you haven't experienced the potential of vaping.

:D just my few sums up of what Iv experienced. This is not a guide in any way shape or form, just a few words of my experiences, most of which are what you will read else where, it's only just by experiencing it for my self to realise how fantastic it is and that what people are saying that you read is true.

P.s had a few beers tonight as im snowed in up here in the dales ! So hope all my writing made sense :) also other people's views might be differenct as vaping is tailored built to your self but a lot of thing I have said though are what other people explained like I said. I didn't know how good it could get till I tried it!

I was getting worried that you done something crazy and blown yourself up.. lol

It's not surprising, it's only a 1100mah or 2200mah battery and they are sub ohm, in one of the videos it does say that with a 1100mah battery and 0.5 ohm head, steam monkey works it out to be only a few minutes of vaping.

I'm not sure if I should pickup some nickle coils for the vapour shark to see if I like vaporing on temperture or pickup the kanger mini subtank... hmm.. or just wait till next month when there's more real life reviews on the mini subtank.

He's talking about the actual coils. :)

But yeah the battery life would be a worry. If the coils are only lasting a day thats ridiculous, wonder why none of the reviewers have mentioned it...? What juices were the guys on AAEC using I wonder?

He's talking about the actual coils. :)

Opps.. sorry.

Looking at the coil that Todd took apart it looks like the aspire BVC, if its sub ohming, it may be made of both kanthal and nickel solder together. China does'nt have the best solder in the world.

The thing with the official one is that you're stuck with the super wide tip which might be good for massive clouds, but it's a bit poor for everything else. I rarely use it.
The clone you're getting has that tip (actually, perhaps a slightly wider one) and an adaptor for normal 510s, so you get the best of both.

Oh yeah, and no silly triangle head screws either :D

These are the reasons why I'm looking forward to my clone :D

Hey guys, how often should you charge your batterys to keep them in the best possible capacity etc,

Like at what % should I swap them, isn't it something like, use the batterys until 60% full then charge them to keep them at full capacity throughout there life?

Alrighty, well I just got down to 60%, it took around 18 hrs of vaping to go down 40%, really impressed with the batterys.

Iv swapped them around for the fresh ones now though.

Well, its been about two months since getting my Aspire Atlantis, and I've very happy with the purchase. I'm using the .5ohm coils on it, although my Sigelei 100w is showing a resistance of .6ohms, but I'm not bothered.

Have any of you used both the Aspire Atlantis, and the Kanger Subtank? I'm looking to get a new bit of kit, and I like the look of the Subtank, as well as the RBA section.

The thing I'm worried about is I don't want to buy something new just for the sake of it, as I don't want buyer's remorse afterward. I do hear that the Subtank has less airflow than the Atlantis, but better flavour. I've read lots of reviews online, but I trust the "internet people" here more than others on forums I don't frequent.

So what's the verdict? Stay with the Atlantis? Grab a Subtank? Or perhaps something different?

Help me OCUK, you're my only hope!

From the reviews the subtank mini (22mm) is the best of both airflow and flavour, There's also a RBA included with it. It's only just come out in the UK, I'm thinking of getting one myself but would like a few real world reviews first.

EDIT: Joyetech delta 2 is turning heads too..

Just realised, its been 10 days since I ordered the mutation x v2 clone from ft, so with a bit of luck should be here any time in the next few days fingers crossed.

Quite excited :p

Dude, when you order from FT, you really just need to forget about it until it arrives. Chances are it'll take around 21 days from the shipping date, but you might get lucky.

Just got delivery of the new Kanger Sub tank Nano, I already have its big daddy, the 25mm.. but this little guy is giving great flavour and good vapour at 15w with the 1.2ohm coil head in it, using the same juice I have in the bigger version, this juice is a red astaire and vanilla mix, on the big tank with the .5ohm coil and 15w, I get a nice creamy vap, at 20w+ I get the fruity flavour.
On the nano with the 1.2ohm coil at 15w, I am getting the same flavour as I get from the big tank at 20w, so more the fruity side, but it is intense.

Airflow is improved, you can have 1 or 2 holes uncovered, but instead of three holes for the widest, you now get a Cyclops slot... this is a massive air draw, like a mutation x nearly wide open, its that Wide open ...

The 1.2ohm coil is rated 12 to 25 watts, I tried it at 20w and got a dry almost burnt hit, but at 15w it is fantastic.

hahaha that's true, iv had a few supprises that iv genuinely forgot about I was like oh yeah haha

btw guys, you know my sigelei 100w box mod,

Is there any way to change it so you can change the watts in 1w adjustments instead of 0.1w, its sometimes hard to like hold the power up then release it when it starts changing really fast, usually im about 3w away from what I want to change to, then you gotta click 30 times to change the rest of the 3w back to where you want it, where as if you hold the button again you will fly below what you want haha.

maybe im just getting slow, but damn it changes the power fast when you hold it.

I dont think so, thats one of the things people keep complaining about in reviews and on forums. :)

Its the same on all the Sig boxes afaik.
