Retro turbo for around 3k?

Best place to look is driftworks or sxoc. You really don't need to try to sell these cars so very few people will bother spending the £15 on an auto trader advert. One of my good friends drives a great s14 and he regularly gets approached when he's getting out his car by strangers saying that if he ever sells it to give them a call.

most of them are in bad condition, due to being drifted!

Not too many decent conversions (including brake etc. upgrades) around for £3k in mk2 form, of course there are plenty of snotters/dodgy ones about.

I posted a nice one on the last page, except for slightly dodgy PCD adaptors on the wheels.

Looking for something retro and turbo for around 3k im handy with a spanner but not with bodywork, a lot of the retro stuff seems to have gone up in price recently though not even sure you can get anything decent for that price these days wasn't long ago 3k would get you a mint anything from the 80's/90's any recommendations?

Not sure if it's quite what you're looking for but I have a Mitsibushi Galant VR4 for sale in v good nick if you're interested :)

Agreed, though I'm amazed at how few there are for sale now. When I bought mine over 6 years ago, PH was brimming with them and Autotrader wasn't bad.

I suppose in that time the tin-worm has really taken hold and the rest have been bought by drift wannabes and wrapped round lamp posts and the like :(

what about a Porsche 944 Turbo?

That's the cheapest on PH, £3795!

I love these threads as they are always full of uninformed opinions of how much a car is worth (generally well under true value) and suggestions of massively over priced rot boxes too (not the Porsches).

Car prices change all the time and over the last few years 80s and early 90s cars have been increasing in value, even for sheddy examples...bodes well for my sheddy car. :p

I did think 944 turbo too but i had noticed the prices have moved upwards over the past two years since i bought my S. They were really cheap for a while, about 1/3 of the price they were going for in Germany so im not surprised they have appreciated a bit. I dont think they are as well regarded here, i use to get comments that i was driving a girls porsche etc

Rover 220 Coupe Turbo. Nice looking car and all the torque steer you could ever ask for :)

Fiat Coupe Turbo isn't a bad plan though, you have enough budget to get a reasonably nice one with a bit of a slush fund left over. Even by todays standards they are rapid machines and the interiors are very nice.
