haha alrighty, its not a issue I guess really. past few days not had to change my wattage at all, its sitting at 37.5w, 0.3ohms, 3.5v

From the reviews the subtank mini (22mm) is the best of both airflow and flavour, There's also a RBA included with it. It's only just come out in the UK, I'm thinking of getting one myself but would like a few real world reviews first.

EDIT: Joyetech delta 2 is turning heads too..

Got the Subtank mini yesterday i'm really impresse with it, lots more flavour than the atlantis and i'm not noticing any less vapour, but i did have one major problem though, unscrewing the RBA deck to have a gander and the bit where the threads are just fell apart and a piece of the internal shaft fell on the floor and i can't bloody find it, and then the insulator and thread posts all came apart i would have usually blamed my heavy handedness, but it just fell apart in my hands... can't be arsed to take it back, so will just wait until a spare can be bought or something... i dunno

Just got delivery of the new Kanger Sub tank Nano, I already have its big daddy, the 25mm.. but this little guy is giving great flavour and good vapour at 15w with the 1.2ohm coil head in it, using the same juice I have in the bigger version, this juice is a red astaire and vanilla mix, on the big tank with the .5ohm coil and 15w, I get a nice creamy vap, at 20w+ I get the fruity flavour.
On the nano with the 1.2ohm coil at 15w, I am getting the same flavour as I get from the big tank at 20w, so more the fruity side, but it is intense.

Airflow is improved, you can have 1 or 2 holes uncovered, but instead of three holes for the widest, you now get a Cyclops slot... this is a massive air draw, like a mutation x nearly wide open, its that Wide open ...

The 1.2ohm coil is rated 12 to 25 watts, I tried it at 20w and got a dry almost burnt hit, but at 15w it is fantastic.

Thanks for the comments guys. The Delta II looks like it could outperform both the Atlantis and the Subtank! The only issue is that it's not out yet, and it looks like the RBA base is sold separately.

A mate of mine uses the Subtank and he concedes that the airflow isn't as great as the Atlantis, but the flavour is amazing. Also, where did you see the Subtank with the "Cyclops" air slot?

I've been using a Mini Protank 2 for a while (from myepack.co.uk) and find that quite often they leak down onto the battery. Any fixes for this? Also can the coils be rebuilt? How do you go about that?

Yep, easily rebuildable, It takes literally less than a min to rebuild them once you get the hang of it but iv been making them for it for 18 months, heres two picture of before and after, the before picture is REALLY bad, its my missus's protank, I wouldn't let mine get that bad in a million years.

All you need is 28g or 30g kanthal, and a tooth pick/cocktail stick, its the perfect size 1.8mm diameter and you can hold it in place perfectly with it.
30g kanthal is what I use for protank2 mini, 28g is pretty much on par, but I guess its just personal preference.
30g kanthal, toothpick, for 1.8ohms 9 wraps, 10 wraps for 2ohms
28g kanthal, toothpick, for 1.8ohms, 10 wraps, 11 wraps for 2ohms.

Then once its done, slide a bit of cotton through, chop the ends off as short as you can, if its flooding then put the rubber cap on the chimney, if its dry hitting remove the cap, bish bash bosh job done :)

Heres a guide on how to do it, but its a little bit more difficult the way hes done it than how I do it, as the toothpick holds it in place perfectly.

The Sub tank nano I received has the Cyclops slot for the outer airflow control ring, and instead of 1, 2 and 3 air holes on the inner ring, there is 1, 2 and a full open slot.

Update to my mini review, now I have vaped the nano a bit more, the juice level has gotten close to the top of the coil head, so when I tilt the atty to vap, it reveals the opening were the chimney enters the coil head, I am starting to get dry or funny tasting hits :(

Just made a 24g parallel single coil build in my spare little dripper, experimenting.

24g parallel, 3mm diameter. 0.3ohms end result when straightened out fully. oh also, its 7 wraps
Was quite hard to attach it to the posts as they don't have holes, just screws cause its a cheap dripper.
Damn, it heats up fast, at 37.5w, it glows really fast.

Though this rda has a 2mm air hole that I drilled out my self, its definitely not enough for this coil, might drill it out more or add another hole and then test it again but.. from what it has and from testing it just now heres the results:

Flavour wise, its a lot harsher than my dual coil 24g 0.3mm diameter 0.3 ohm. with the ry4 I can taste the tobacco more than the other flavours like the vanilla and caramel which I taste with the dual coil.
Heat wise, the vapes cooler, but iv got more used to the warm vape now.
Throat hit, 3x more throat hit than the dual coil, feels like 6mg though its only 2mg, its a lot more harsh than a dual coil, its not warm and dense like the dual, but the clouds are almost the same size but its just a lot lot harsher.

(also note, use my vamo for holding rda's whilst I build them now as its tall so easier to work on)

Just be aware of the insulator on the Subtank. Its got a habbit of disintergrating with tank cracking juices. Kanger are aware of it and are fixing it.

Nature of the beast, air holes in the 510 connector.

Just tried out Digby's Hooligan... WTF is that supposed to taste of?! Reminds me of the smell of savlon
Yet said it a few times, to me its Germolene. (the old pink antiseptic cream) :D

Yup, but, the ring the housing of the coil where it screws onto the mod, the part that has the 3 pin sized air holes should I say, that restricts it more, I drilled them out and got 50% more air flow as the air isn't restricted before it gets to the main air hole, and it would also be easily possible to drill out the connection pin that has the main air hole in for even more, but on such a little tank iv not bothered doing that yet, especially now I barely use it lol

Edit, just measured up the centre pin thing. its 1.5mm in diameter is the main air hole, a 2mm drill bit would leave just enough metal of the shell on the shaft of the pin for it to be sturdy enough. but a 1.8mm drill bit would be better.

So with the restriction of the base with the 3 air holes in on the standard one, well, you could get around double the air flow if you drilled out these parts, but the easiest drilling thing to do is the 3 air holes, takes two seconds, and 50% more air flow.
Might have ago at drilling the centre pin/connection pin out tomorrow see what the results are.

Damn I like fiddling with stuff too much

At what point did they think this was a good flavour?! It tastes nothing like the description;

Product Description

Hooligan, our latest concoction. Its sweet with a lingering tingle. Cherry, lemon, Oranges and Limes combined with a bit of fizz.

Would've been more accurate if they had said 'deepheat with a hint of canesten' :(

Might leave it to steep for a good few weeks and even breathe it to see if it can, one day, not taste like ****.

Also im laughing at the germolene.

Damn I hate the smell of that stuff it makes me gip! haha so I know which flavour of liquid to avoid :D

infact im sure gemolene was a some sort of oxygen displacement the fumes off it, used to make me breathless when around it.

Best of luck, I left mine for a good while, still tasted funky, not quite as bad tbh, but still not good. IMO of course.

Its one of those marmite juice I think, love it or hate it.

:)

I thought they fixed it with the new mini tanks? The insulator on the mini RBA is clear instead of white.

I've also had this problem. Starting to think i might be due something new, any recommendations? I dont want anything too fancy/complicated i still dont understand all this variable voltage stuff/ohms etc

If yo uwant something along the same lines/ dimensions/ easily replace coils etc I would recommend the mini aurotank or the EVOD 2.

Well I'm not sure, there is a thread on UKV that I pop into now and again. There are guys over here that have the white insulator, and it seems Kanger have admitted theres a prob and said they will send out replacement insulators to vendors that got dodgy stock. Both here and the USA, which suggests there are some with the crap insulators in stock here. :)

Look up the page, if your happy with the protank 2 mini, then it takes a min or two to rebuild the coils and its easy peasy.
