How many of you partake in the lottery?

I'm 24 and have only really put on the lottery a few times. My mum does it every week, with no return.

Anyone actually win much from it? I dunno if I should start putting a few quid a week on it.

Nope. I have always felt the division of the winnings was poor. Three numbers and get a tenner. But worse than that a mate got 5 numbers and only got 1200 quid.
I do do the Macmillan one, it gives me a chance to give something back to a charity that really helped me out with a chance of getting something back.

I dont, I recall reading once that if you sit an hour before the lottery is on, your about 1000 times more likely to be dead before the show starts than of winning.

dont know how true that is, but it sounds feasable given the long odds.

that said, somebody has to win and the greatest of odds boils down to two choices; it will happen, or it won't

Gotta be in it to win it..as they say. For that reason I have a direct debit that puts me in every week. It's only a small amount of money that I wont miss, so I'm not really invested in it. I don't even check the numbers, since anything won is just paid into my account. It's all pretty hands off.

Lotto hotpicks is better really, 5 numbers and you get £130,000, 4 numbers and you get £7,000.

The caveat is that you can only bet on one prize, but I certainly prefer to have a much better chance of winning a life changing amount of money than a miniscule chance of winning a million.

Yep. Euromillions quite frequently, a lotto now and then. A scratch card once a month or so. I've placed a total of two bets in my life, not much of a gambler.

Only occasionally on multiple rollovers. Normally when that happens someone in the office organises an ad-hoc syndicate.

Euromillions when ever the jackpot is over about 70mil.

Lotto, only when they have like special draws where theres more of a chance to win.

Also im 23, been putting it on when its a big prize since I was about 16.

To this date not won £1
