Resident Evil Remake HD

Hh yes!! Now I remember. Dammit I need to go back for it now. I vaguely remember someone coming to help and some really dodgy cutscene acting.

You know the sort, like from the original game.....

Stop it!! Don't open.....that door! :p

Yep! Well worth it. Saves even bothering getting the broken shotty. :p just got the armour key earlier this afty! Loving short sharp bursts of playing this.

Mental hand gestures! Actually lol'd :) thanks!

I remember the gun shop chap at the start of re2 being very mental with his hands too! Maybe barrys brother or something

Gun shop owner- "Freeze! Who are ya whaddya doin here!?"

Leon - "don't shoot, I'm a human!"

Gun shop owner - "phew, sorry about that.. "

:D poor chap, ganked by a pack of zombies.

Got pretty far into the game now and using my flamethrower to kill dem speeders. Then I annoyingly got killed by an instadeath moment... again, not having saved for some time. That is something that I think has gladly gone from modern games... having to play twenty minutes to make it through some some trial and error!

Personally i think the save system is one of the things that make this game so good and what has ruined a lot of games that allow you to save every 5 mins. Especially when you first play it and don't know what is around the corner and so it's actually quite scary if you haven't saved for a while.

I take it you wont be going for the play the full game without saving achievement? :D

I generally agree, but lame instadeth moments are annoying, especially if you don't know what's going to happen. It's like a cruel quick-time event.

I'm tempted to give a speed run a go!

Anyway, finished my first run just now! :D

Haha you can absolutely blitz through this game if you know what your doing. Got the armour key and have a death mask in about 12 mins of play. I think that would have taken me 3 hours on my first go.

I did that but the other door lets you back in the room

If it lets you back in then you've progressed to far to have him save you. You need to do it early on before you meet Barry again in the main hall (where he gives you some ammo).

You also need to try to go through both doors in this version for him to save you.

Not played Alien: Isolation? :D

I think I may be stuck.

I believe the next thing I need to do is use the dog whistle. The door I need to go through is lock, I need to use an "old key". Now I've already found and used 2 old keys and I'm worried there are no more left until I progress through the door.

Edit - From what I remember (could be wrong), I got one key from the safe room with the lighter fluid canister (I think, can't remember exactly) and the other one from the bath tub you empty with the zombie in.

I was the same but had already used the keys so had to do a bit of searching for the others. I can't remember locations though.

I did my first run with Jill and was about 10 hours because I had forgotten most of it. The second run I did with Chris and thought it was pretty quick at 6.29 but even think 5 hours is going to be tough never mind 3 hours or less!

Found it in the kitchen. :)

I played the original on the Saturn, then the PS1, and the remake on GC. I bought it for the PS4, and I'm looking forward to a trip down memory lane.

What's everybody's control configuration?
