xiaomi mi note launched today being hailed iPhone 6 plus killer

What's the battery life like?
What is the screen like?
What is it made of?
What is the camera quality?

Raw specs sheets rarely cover those (almost most important) features. It's the reason so many flagship phones fall by the way side.

And it runs android, which is another big killer for many.

Of coarse it runs android what else would it run when over 80% of the whole smartphone market are already using android!!! ios has just under 15%

15% compared to 80%.
No brainer.

Lots of people don't want to pay iPhone money for phones. The sales share of each platform vs. the usage share are worlds apart, mainly because it's really difficult to get a non-smartphone any more. An 80% sales figure includes lots of Android powered handsets that cost £30 and never get used for anything remotely smartphone-like.

I can bet that there are still more people in the world that like Android than not like it, compared to iOS.

I'll also bet that way more % of Android users are disappointed by Android than iOS users because you can buy really cheap phones that can give a bad experience.
My colleague keeps moaning about her San Francisco :D

80% marketshare doesn't mean 80% of people like Android. Android has 80% marketshare because it's cheap, not because people like it.

While I agree with your point it's not necessarily needed.

I'd say 20% of a couple of billion people is many no matter how you look at it. :p

After having used android and gone back to a non android phone I remeber how smooth non android phones are (WP and iOS). Even the high end phones (I had an HTC One "M7") still lag far more than the other OSs unfortunately.

The issue with Android is that there are no limits on what it can run on. I think most of the people who hate on Android used it on bad quality hardware or when it was bad - maybe two years ago?

Whereas on the iPhone the hardware has always been "good". The experience has always been consistent for customers.

This wasn't supposed to turn into an ios vs android argument. Sorry if the title made you think there was a new non apple smartphone running ios but that will never happen so you will have to stick with the same phone as everyone else on ios!

I doubt anyone actually thought that, but on the other hand does anyone have any info on these questions, which is says re just as important as the processor and amount of RAM.

What is the camera quality?

There are plenty of cheaper phones that don't have any satisfactory answers to the above, and that's how they save costs.
