So just talking about the Phanteks Ethoo pro, the front has a 200mm case fan included. The noise coming from it is louder than all my other components put together. I'm thinking to maybe buy a different fan or completly remove it, would that be wise? or any alternatives

Swap it for two 140mm fans. 4-pin pwm from the mb or 3-pin from the phanteks fan hub, and reduce the speed to about 750-800 rpm....noise problem solved.

The 200mm fan at the front can be replaced with 2x 140mm fans or 2x 120mm fans (page 22 of the manual).

Cheers for that, ill give it a go, Ive got corsair AF silent edition fans, they should do the trick, you have any idea about the hub of the case, and the sata cable, can the fans connected to that be controlled somehow? or do i need the fan controller thing from OCUK?

The AF fans will be ok for the front panel if you haven't got a radiator there (the dust filter isn't so thick that it will stop airflow). As they are 4-pin pwm fans in theory you shouldn't need to connect the sata connector from the fan hub to your psu (the fans will be powered through the mb). However, you'll either need to set-up a fan profile in bios or you could use....

Fan controller or Speedfan would work.

Latest version of speedfan is 4.50, but there have been reports of it having lots of bugs. I use version 4.49 and it works fine, with the fans running at 30% on idle and 50% under load.
