*** Nokia Lumia 930 ***

I wouldn't worry about storage space on the 930, 32Gb goes a lot further when you don't have to worry about the latest games and apps taking up space :p

Yes, but I made the point earlier that I'm already using more than 32GB in photos and videos on my iPhone.

Edit, oh, or is that a dig at the perceived lack of winphone apps?

How many apps are you using at any one time?

Suppose it does go further though...with huge bloated OS not adding much in the way of functionality taking up so much space. :D

So my Fitbit Flex came...sold it on for £52.99 so going to knock off another £46 after fees from the £205.00 I spent on my Lumia 930...delighted!

Starting to get on terrifically with Windows Phone again...app wise I really don't feel like I'm missing anything.

I did get the Podcast app working though which seems to only work on the US location...so what I did was change location set up the official podcast app with my subscriptions, back to UK locale and it worked fine since then :p

Just checked the EE website, their not selling 830s any more and the *deals* are abysmal.

You meaning the 930 mate? I've seen EE's contract deals and they truly are absolutely terrible.

If you want to pick one up cheap then do what I did...pick up a cheap warranty replacement...loads on eBay and as they're new handsets you can claim the Fitbit Flex and then sell it and make back some money :p

I wanted the 830, about a month ago the EE deals were quite good, now it's silly money per month, and you've got to pay up to full retail price for the phone!!!!

Holding out with my 920 till I see what MS come up with in WP10.

I got my 830 from CPW on EE which was free, have you looked at there deals ?

I'm thinking of picking up a 930 but have a quick question I'm hoping someone can answer, can I purchase one from the rainforest.de it's seem quite a saving?

You can, log in with your normal details, use Chrome as it has a translate system so its a lot easier to buy :)

They even pay for return postage if there is a problem with the phone as well :)

Almost sounds too good to be true! :p No catch at all?

Not that I'm aware of, the only other thing I'd check is that you select to pay in your own currency (GBP), even though its slightly more you know exactly how much you're paying, otherwise you'll normally have to pay conversion charges etc if you pay in Euros? And just double check the model you are buying is SIM free and also has the correct network bands, which it should but just double check :)

I'm toying with ordering a phone from the same site but in Italy as its 50 Euros cheaper than Germany or France for some reason, even though they ship it from the French warehouse :p Saves me approx £50 over UK prices

Oh, just thought, you'll need a UK plug adapter as well :)

Just ordered a black one for a smidgen under 300 notes direct from the Rainforest.

This will be my second attempt at a WP, the first being a Lumia 800 which only lasted with me for a fortnight due to battery firmware bugs which was giving me 3-4 hours usage. I did enjoy the experience though so looking forward to using the 930; and moving away from IOS.

How are you finding it?

The phone is very nice, well built and has a really nice screen. I'll need longer to digest the change from IOS to WP, but it looks like all the main apps are now covered since my last foray into WP which lacked some popular options.

I do have a question about the screen to other 930 users, do you find the screen refresh rate to struggle on movement? I notice text becomes a little blurred and the screen dims in the menus when scrolling, once you stop it returns to focus and brightness.

mine seems fine, cant see any problem

That arrived quickly :)

Got a nice knock on the door early this morning.

Doing some Google searches it seems the AMOLED screen used on the 930 does produce some fuzzyness in motion with white on a black background, it's the nature of the tech by all accounts and a symptom on this model. It's my first AMOLED screen so I've never experienced the differences between LCD.

The blacks are awesome though right? I wish google would pull their finger out and make a proper youtube app for it.
