Well, ive just had a weird bug type thing...

Managed to hit a fed during a nice pirate hunting session, as ive done a dozen times, no problem killed the pirate and dock at the nearest outpost station to pay the fine... only the fine isnt there to pay, im showing as "Wanted" but unable to pay off the fine. Ive checked the reputation status and its showing Wanted with Empire, so i try and empire controlled outpost, still nothing, empire controlled station, twitchy bum as ive seen how fast the station guns rip ships apart and again nothing...

So i log off, google the problem, check the support forums, nothing... log back on and the Wanted status and 300cr fine has vanished.

I swapped my Pirate Cobra weapon loadout around this evening from medium multicannons and small beam lasers to D2 Gimballed beams and G1 Gimballed multis.

Man what a difference. Admittedly you can't be so trigger happy given the Beam's power requirement, and the 500,600cr cost each is fairly big given my meagre budget, but the ability to take shields down quickly is pretty satisfying. I can't really notice a huge difference with the smaller multicannons either. I know gimballed multicannons are lazy, but they do mean more rounds on target.

I spent a happy hour hassling all the crims around a nav point, and only had to give up due to running out of ammo. It doesn't seem that much slower in making money than hauling Slaves either, but it's definitely more fun.

Gotta be honest while I'd like to try a bigger ship, I'm not sure I can be bothered to grind for one when the Cobra is such a laugh...

Finally home in Cemiess, Empire all the way you rebel scum, and I didn't realise how may systems I scanned. Loads to sell still but I wish I had a sell all option, it's taking ages.

Selling full pages at a time is coming :)

Best solution, I reckon, as you'll be able to scan the systems and their values to see what you're getting.

Just paid a visit to Wolf 359 for the first time in this game. Said a silent prayer for all the lives lost there in defence of the Federation against the Borg.

R.I.P :(

been busy 1-shotting small ships with the huge plasma accelerator, it never fails to make me laugh, especially if you do it whilst they're scanning you,

Had the same issue earlier tonight, in the exact same scenario! Saved and exited and when I logged back on, no fines or wanted status to be seen.

Cobra is the first worthwhile upgrade after the sidewinder. It's got a bit of everything. Great utility craft.

The Cobra is actually one of the best ships in the game, in any price bracket. It's tough enough to take on the big ships and small enough to easily evade the very high damage weapons and stick in the Anaconda's blind spot, then unload rockets in to it's engine. It's also one of the fastest ships in a straight line so can escape at will.

I agree, Cobra is the best ship in game, can be kitted out very nicely and do everything you need for relative little cost, Great for the RARE runs as well.

Only downside is it limited cargo space, but then if your not shifting 120t + in cargo then there is no point in doing cargo runs, that could be just me though.

Seeking Luxuries at Tenche is stupidly easy money; I'm taking advantage of it because I feel like I'd be a fool not to, but part of me feels like it's an exploit and really wishes they hadn't added this silly mechanic to the game.

Yeah, me and a few others are doing the same at another system.. 0.10ls from the station, making 550k profit per run in an Anaconda.

I can see lots of whining on the frontier forums about this, but hell - I've done so much "normal" trading that anything to get as much cash as possible is good for me..

There also seems to be a group of people going to stations and murdering the type-9s, this happened in Beta sculpturis a few weeks back, and also in our system earlier today, thankfully the type-9s respawned adn the assailant left.. I was on my way to carve him up into chunks, hopefully he'll come back and try it again ;)
