Hi! We are just wondering how to dispose of the litter, poop etc? Does it just go in a bag in the black normal bin? Or is there a certain way to dispose of it?

Also is the general idea to just scoop out number 2's ? And empty every so often?

Ta :)

Green or grey bin dependent on the bag you use.
Scoop out the bad and change when the cat does a big wee (and change reasonably regularly anyway)

When we had cats we scooped the poop and the clumps of urine every day, put them into bags and put them in the normal rubbish bin.

Poo can be flushed down the loo (even though some say you shouldn't)

Wee you can scoop out that bit and chuck it in the rubbish bin.

Get some dog poo bags to put it in, and put it in the outside bin or it will whiff.

The more expensive litters help with the smell as well. I use catsan.

Was just about to ask if theres any smell control methods for when the poo is just sat there while we are at work or out! So a better scented litter could be the option!

So it can all just go in the house hold waste if bagged nicely?

Thanks for your answer! Could you explain what you mean by which bag we use?

Thanks :) new to this!

Well, the contents of the bag are fine to go in the green bin, so if you put it in a poo bag or something, then if the bag is recyclable, it goes in the green, otherwise it goes in the grey :)

I'm not quite sure what you're trying to say, but cat poop is most definitely NOT meant to go into your recycling bin - it must go into the general waste bin only.

Also, different councils have different colours for bins btw. We have grey for recycling and green for general waste, my mate about 15 miles away has green for recycling and black for general waste.

Seriously flush it down the loo. Much less mess and stinky bins.

I have a tiny flat, the catsan keeps the smells under control til I can get to it (on the rare occasion they go in the house nowadays)

We use the Sainsburys value baby nappy bags, as they are the right size, have an element of anti-odour and tie up easy for disposal :)

This, times infinity. Don't be a mug, get value nappy sacks. It even makes it super easy because you can 'wrap' your hand into the bag, pick up the litter and fold the bag back on itself. Job done.

We save all our tesco carrier bags from deliveries and have a scoop. It just goes straight into the outside general bin.

Tray gets tipped to the side and clumped pee goes in at the same time then sprinkling of new litter.

Every week or so the litter gets totally replaced.

How did my life get so sad that I'm posting this on a Friday evening?

Thanks, will pick these up tomorrow!

Thanks for all the suggestions, seemed a bit of a grey area when j googled it, couldnt seem to find a right or wrong answer! So theres no harm putting a bag of full empty litter content into our out side general waste wheelie bin, thats all i needed to know really but all these other tips will prove helpful!
