2, Better social tools, For this i mean, transfering of funds to another player, better social interaction with others (just like my point above, this should have been in at the start)

I'm pretty we'll never be able to transfer funds to another player, for the simple reason that Frontier have always wanted to prevent the sale of credits with real money, for example - someone paying £100 for 100Mcr in game via forums and stuff..

I've given out about 10Mcr to my friends, by abandoning palladium for them - that's the only way I can see..

The thing with transfering of money, it means you could hire pirates to give you protection threw anarchy systems, or hire your mates to cover you if your doing mining etc.

Or back in the days of Jumpgate, Pirates would stop you in unreg (anarchy) and if you didnt pay them for traveling, then they'd kill you.

It opens up more options within the game, imo.

After completing a Federal mission to kill a General I'm now wanted in all Federal systems lol

I tried to pay the bounty off but the amount is "~#12221##" and there's no option to pay it off in contacts.

But Frontier don't lol.. they've stated publicly in many places that they don't want people to be able to transfer funds, so... unless they change their mind, I doubt we'll see it added.

You could try switching to solo/open to see if that fixes it,
 
The discovery of Thargoids should focus some player action.

Anyone been to the other side of the galaxy yet ?

I'm currently almost 3,000Ly from Sol on my way to Sag A* at the centre!

A few folk have already been there, and to the outer rim too, and they report back that there are several sectors of the galaxy that are completely locked off and we cannot enter them yet...

HERE BE THARGOIDS!
 
One lonesome commander will come across the Thargoids, who are minding their own business on the other side of the galaxy, and set them off rampaging over to us.

Just one person to unleash them....imagine being that person :)
 
I had to look that up to know what you were talking about. I didn't know they had established alien races in the Elite Games, beyond ancient artifacts of long gone civilisations.
 
But then it becomes EvE where you have factions fighting for control of areas and stations.

Not that I think that's a bad thing, but there's a game that does that already.

Not at all. Eve is not an FPS, which is a major downside. well so much if a downside I don't play eve. Button clicking in MMOs suck. It would be a totally different game with first person view and your actually shooting and aiming. Especially nice walking around stations and planets are implemented.

I believe FD have always said they will never implement player owned stations etc.

Yep, lets hope they change their mind at some stage, as that is what is needed. I can see me getting bored of E: D trading/fighting etc to upgrade was fine in the 80s and 90s, it doesn't cut it long term in the 10s

gawd, these luxuries routes lmao.

I want to stop but I can't, making so much money, and I know Tenche is about to go into civil war, trying to make as much hay as possible whilst the sun's shining :D

Also discovered to save time, once you fill your cargo hold in the station - hit launch, then quit to main menu and rejoin, it puts you outside of the station ready to go straight into SC lol............. ;_;

I can echo these words Glau, as it currently is, there's not enough in the game that I can see myself still playing in 4-6 months.

I know they will add stuff, but it just feels like they wanted to bring Elite back, but with new graphics that's it. For me, that's not enough.

I foolishly left my edtracker plugged in while I went to work and the cats appear to have had a scrap and broken it. The USB connector has completely detached from the arduino. Looks like I'm going to have to order a replacement arduino and fire up the soldering iron. I am disappoint.

Spent the night playing Alien: Isolation instead.

Could definitely do with some help, not even played the game yet, still in tutorials, getting my butt kicked on wave 4 or 5. Can't seem to get the hang of turning in a dogfight, any hints?

Could also use some help setting up my xbox 360 controller, trying to get it setup something like this.

Left stick - Basic up, down, left, right.
Right stick - Want to use this for strafing.
Left and right bumper - For rolling.

Edit - Forget about the controls, did some more playing around, just help me make those turns!
