Anyone else feeling old?

Rubbish :p

I'm 34 and still roughly 50% of people I meet insist on calling me "young man"! I have no idea why...

To be fair I look about 24, and in some cases still get ID'd for stuff :p

Looking and feeling are two different things though :p

I blame everyone settling down getting me in to some sort of mundane routine and making me feel old

:D

Yes.

Because when I'm making a reference to a popular film or song I have to put it through a mental filter to check if anyone is likely to know what I'm on about.

I'm 38 :-)

38 this year, My first Grand child was born 2 months ago, Social media makes me feel like my parents did when we got a new VCR with video + and they couldn't work it and had to ask me. Birthdays used to be great and now its just seems to be a countown to expiration.

Yes I feel old :D

Groucho Marx said "a man is only as old as the woman he feels" so Wayne Rooney would answer yes to this.

I'm closer to 50 than I am to 40 and I'm starting to feel it a little more. I need the heating on a bit more as I now feel the cold easier, I can't drink anywhere near as much as I used to (good thing tbh) and for the first time in my life I am in need of medical help from a hospital and consultant whereas for the last 47 years I've only been to a hospital once for myself and that was just a quick A&E visit for a thumb nail to be removed due to an infection (I learned why nail extraction is used as torture that day).

So I still feel like I can do most things but age is starting to grab hold of my shirt tails.

42 yrs old here. So far so good. Do the same things as i've been doing for the last 10yrs. I'm not looking forward to getting older though (like 60s) and getting age related illnesses.

Courtesy of xkcd the other day.

In a few months time the release date of The Phantom Menace will be closer to the release date of Return of the Jedi than it will be to the present day.

same, had a carpet fitter round the other day, he was chatting away, asked me if i go college/uni. i think he thought i must live with my parents.
his look of surprise was priceless when i told him i'm 34.

lmao, the joys of having a babyface;)

What's looking young got to do with (not) feeling old? You will still feel old even if people think you are young. In fact, it's probably exacerbated when people mistake you for being so young when it dawns on you that you are so many years the elder.
