Main thing on that part is to get rid of witches + shriekers without too many people dying....then head in the left which is usually less congested and kick some ass.
 
Yeah that's the one (think its death singer - ir yut?). After the shriekers are down its definitely easier for everyone to go in from the left.

If you have heavy ammo as a hunter. I find going invisible and running in to the crystal room, hopping on top of a door and then opening fire with a ghorn on the witch works wonders.

it's actually quite hard to do without dying, so it will take a few attempts, i think maybe better to take out wizards in teams of 3, then all 6 go left then all 6 go right so we stick together to deal with mobs and shrieker at the same time.

if your low on health then hide/play it safe, everyone just needs to communicate to say when they are ready to go.

Three go left, three go right. Both teams take out the Wizard and Shrieker on their respective side and then the team on the left join up with the team on the right to take out Ir Yut. No need to move all 6 players from left to right once both shriekers are down.

Ideally your teams will be split into 1:2 with the two providing rocket / sniper support from the boomer town whilst the remaining member acts as a lure / takes out shrieker.

Yeah, this is the way to do it.

All go left and clear out as many of the mobs as possible until Ir Yut starts her liturgy. Once she starts, get 2-3 people into the crystal room, up on the door ways, and let loose with rockets. If you go before she starts, it can difficult to stay alive (with her blasting you) and difficult to hit her (as she moves around so much).
 
Yup 3 go left and 3 go right to take out shriekers then everyone goes in the right side (as you run out the tunnel). It is possible to cheese that as a warlock and titan glide you can jump around the back and top of the map to get in the room above the crystal and then snipe Ir Yut without worry of being attacked.

It's the easiest part of the raid, I don't understand why so many people struggle with this part!

oh I forgot about that. It's hard to get to that point though I believe. We tried a few times but I don't think anyone really knew where the spots are you have to jump to.

i think we should be able to do this bit no problem with a few attempts normally anyway but could use that as a backup.

If we don't get enough I can LFG the rest (the new site I use tends to have really good players on it). Managed VOG HM in record time the other day. One guy held mid on his own before Atheon checkpoint.

I think we should just run from sunsinger to Crota, to take advantage of CP, then if you want go back and run the lamps and bridge, I have already done these but I can cheese the bridge with my warlock (level 30). As long as you have a few level 30+ warlock cheesing the bridge part is a breeze it can be done in under 5 mins first time.

We still on for 8.30 tonight? (8.35 is v. precise!).

Quick q to all on exotic drops... presumably you get 1 exotic chance drop for both Deathsinger + Crota stage per week regardless of whether NM or HM? i.e. if you did NM first, that is your 'exotic chance' for that character used for the week? If you did the raid subsequently on HM you would just get the single HM drop sans exotic?

Yup, still on. I should be able to be on earlier than 8:35 now :p
 
We had a good fun run of HM Crota last night. Team was 4x 32s, 2x 31s. We made it through the maze fairly easily (1-man clutch), the bridges were awkward as usual but Thor made it across and we had 2 warlocks revive pre-bridge and snipe the ogres/boomers/wizards that were hunting Thor hiding on the rock.

Thrallway we got unlucky with runners being exploded by hallowed thralls so we missed that chest. Deathsinger was pretty much okay (bladedancer doesnt kill boomers that easily).

Crota was his usual awful and tedious self! We had a few really great runs but unlucky team deaths (me included on our best run!) but I think we ended up pulling through flawlessly on one of our final runs. I lucked out and have all of the HM raid primaries now. No crux of course but frankly I'm going to spend a few weeks simply doing NF's to see if i can grab a gjally! It was fun!

That was a good (and super quick) run at Crota :D

After the first wipe (totally my fault - I jumped the wrong way :o) everything just clicked.

Hopefully HoC will drop for me this week. :)

EDIT: Just checking that the raid is still on for 7 tonight? CE normal mode isn't it?

I will hopefully be on before (to move around weapons etc) but do you guys want me to be sword carrier? If so I will leave everything on my hunter. :)

The Swordbearer was being a total dick last night! The majority of our wipes were due to him running off somewhere. :mad:

Loot wise, I didn't get anything new, but I now only need 9 shards to have enough to get my Titan to 32! Although I then need to grind for a ton of Plasteel Plating :rolleyes:

I think my hunter has eaten all of the sapphire wire I had! My raid helmet is available to fully uopgrade (and I have the shards / glimmer) but I have no sapphire wire at all. :o

In my experience there isn't a real easy way of grinding this. You either hunt for chests / green drops or grind glimmer to buy the helmet 250 glimmer from the vanguard quatermaster (if available - it has the chance to drop two of the specific material required).

Either way it is a grind.
 
Heh, I've been in the same position with my hunter. I just do Roc strikes for the sapphire wire, usually 4+ blues per run and a few greens, bonus is the marks which can buy materials and the odd legendary/exotic.
