ISIS and Islamic militants - discussion

And "it's the only language they seem to understand" is nonsequitur. Please explain how it justifies the murder of people who were categorically not involved with the murder of that pilot. They were in prison. They had no involvement.

Did bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki not save an estimated one million lives? Not saying it's right, or a nice thing to do but sometimes you have to do what's necessary to win.

I'm really worried that Jordan will now cave into the Islamic State, further strengthening them and will ultimately result in them controlling even more territory in Jordan, which of course is what they want.

That's quite the number of logical fallacies to have in one post, scorza.

Comparing to Hiroshima and Nagasaki that killed hundreds of thousands of people on the day, and further impacted the lives of many millions for decades thereafter. The losses outweigh the victory.

You're really worried about a lot of things. Don't try to impart your fears as likely outcomes.

pure evil -i hope obama gets off his arse and puts some boots on the ground - rarely does a simple moral case present itself.
I doubt that would achieve much. ISIS might be tough guys compared to unarmed civilians, but going toe-to-toe with a 1st world professional army would be suicide. They’d just melt into the background and become another insurgency.

Care to name one of these fallacies? I doubt the one million soldiers who would probably have lost their own lives had Allied forces invaded mainland Japan would see it that way.

Give me one reason why it can't happen? It's just been on the news that the father of the pilot has been petitioning the King to stop bombing Islamic State.

As can be seen when they run into Kurd special forces :S
