Which NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 model would you go for?

I just put a strix in and really like it. No coil whine that I can tell and auto fan shut off at less then 60 degrees.

If the price difference between them isn't an issue then the EVGA FTW ACX. Fantastic warranty as well, they were the first to offer help to customers wishing to return their card.

Otherwise I'd just go for the £260 Zotac which I believe has 5 years extended warranty as well.

If your set on the 970 and as far as 970's go I couldn't fault them*.




*as far as a single card for 1080p gaming goes.

I'd agree. Neither of mine had even a hint of coil whine and were very quiet. They perform very well...if you're not bothered about the vram.

I'm not precisely sure what I'd select at the moment if I was buying, as there's quite a few that could tempt me. I'd probably end up choosing something new and fresh off the menu, by narrowing it down to one of the EVGA or Inno3D cards like these :

whichever is the quietest at load you won't notice a few fps unless your monitoring it but you will notice a few decibels

The infinity is the one that got me excited before all the latest drama, most likely look to go with a 980 at this point.
