I'm happy to bring/swap around my spare hunter (32) or my warlock (31) depending on what we need as neither have done hard mode yet this week.

For the Abyss, all the 31s are going to die, plain and simple. As long as one of the 32s can make it across though, it's all good. I'll be a Hunter so I can give it a go. If Auty and/or Matt are also Hunters, that doubles/trebles our chances.

For the bridge, it'll be very good going if any 31 gets across and stays alive for the Ogres. Really, I expect we'll have to go with getting one across and cheesing with Warlock self-revives. So, we'll need one, preferably two Warlocks for that part.

Crota.. Really we need 4 32s: swordman and 3 rocketeers (with tracking rockets). One 31 can keep the boomers entertained and the other can either help out or stand and dance :D
The most important thing is being able to regen health though as otherwise one or two hits and you're dead, causing an Oversoul which often causes a wipe.

To be honest, I've only ever done it with one 31 in the team. 2 might be just about doable. I'm not so keen on 3! :p

Crota is perfectly doable with 3 32s and 3 31s.

Just boot anyone who doesn't have mask of the third man, an insurmountable skullfort or apothosis veil, otherwise you are wasting your time.

I've got 2 32s (Titan and Hunter) so happy to use whichever you like. I can usually Solo the Lamps with my hunter so shouldn't be a problem there, and bridge is ok with a few 32s and a warlock or 3 :)

The skullfort helmet seems to have been made specifically for this raid, judging by the perks.

I remember buying it just for the flashy lights. Combine it with the Glowhoo shader and we could have a half decent disco :D

I think 3+3 then 3+3 finally 3 to enrage and hit him a few more times is pretty safe.

3/3 > 3/3 > 3/3 seems like the safest strategy on hard mode.

You have to face the Ogres granted but a few rockets and they are dead.

Trying 4/4 brings with increased risk of the sword carrier dying (due to timing) and an enrage at the wrong point (3/3 triggers enrage on the second rotation).

Nice one. I'll give you a shout.

The 3 hits per kneel is what we've been using. Infact this has caught me out a few times - going into autopilot, hitting him too many times and causing an early enrage. This has been the cause of a few wipes :/

Yeah, it takes 18 RT hits to kill him. I always go with 4+3, 3+3, 3+2 though just to give some security in case my timing is off and I miss a hit or two with the later swords.

Cheers - I'll give that a go. I read that 3+3, 3+3, 2+2+super works too. Yours seems simpler.

Slightly related - apparently if you make the sword bearer the party host it gets around instances when Crota springs up early from a kneel and wails on you. This may not be true I've been caught out by seemingly random, quick reactions from Crota .

As I've said, I've beaten with 3 31s, I've beaten it as a 31.

I don't use ice breaker and half the time don't use Ghorn, what I said was specifically for the quoted post.
 
Guys I might not be able to make tonights raid. Could you switch me to a reserve slot please?

Need to confirm with the Mrs exactly what we are doing (may be out). :)

Do'h, everyone left the fireteam so when I saw you go I though you'd left for good.. Sorry. Defo still need to do it so will be about tonight probably.
