they would just melt into the population and do guerilla tactics until western forces leave and it would draw all the hardcore fanatics from the middle east like iraq did.
Great if you're going to drop a nuke and melt them all not great if your going to end up in urban areas of syria etc getting picked off by snipers in tower blocks why doing door 2 door searchers

be more of that and the people they are fighting against there is the beginning of ISIS

They may not be on the verge of defeat, but they’re being pushed backwards and having their movements restricted and assets destroyed by coalition air power. Their initial gains were the equivalent of a sucker punch.

As I understand it they're consolidating rather than advancing, I haven't seen much about them retreating.

They are incredibly well supplied as in the last month they lost 1200 vehicles but they have just taken on 2500 new ones unloaded from a ship within a week.

They've been removed from Kobane, and haven't made any significant gains in the same way they did to begin with.

I've not heard anything about this, but even if true they'll be Apache fodder as soon as they're in the open.

Maybe I'm missing it completely but I haven't seen any lack of family cohesion or civic responsibility inmy area.

I've never been sure which depresses me more reading the DM or the guardian :D.
