New PCS+290 Arrived today plus some benchmarks

I'm not very good at this am i! This makes more sense now.

That's more like it, sadly!

Now to start the over clocking side. If i can manage it haha.

The heaven benchmark test takes forever too :(

I know tell me about it, try going up in increments and see where you get using msi afterburner. Your a little bit higher than me when i was at stock settings, on my first run.

I personally would use another bench or game to test stability, i found i could get much higher clocks in heaven and valley on my 290x and GTX580 and stay stable but if i would try to play my usual games on those settings, i would see artifacts and the odd black screen.

Use a game you play often to test stability, that way it isnt boring and the overclock will be most suited to your uses.

So what do you recommend? As the only game I really play is BF4 which has no benchmark within the game?

Then just play the game to test stability. If you see artifacts or get a block screen you know you need to tweak the settings.

I usually play a few hours of whatever my current game is (dying light ATM) and if everything is well, i know i can probably push further.

If you want some numbers to tell you how you are doing, run fraps in the background.

If I'm honest, I doubt I'll actually use the oc settings, I don't need it. When I go, oh I can't do that anymore then I'll do it properly for gaming, this is just a bit of fun and gives me something to do.

The max I'm getting without touching voltages or Memory is now this..

I could probably go a little higher on the core as it was crashing at 1130 so i could probably bump it up to 1125.

Core:1120
Memory:1250
Score: 1484
FPS: 58.9

I'm bored for the night, going to play some Elite now :D

To be fair i wasn't to sure either until i had seen the review on fudzilla and the youtube video. If it hadn't of been for them i might have gone with the sapphire because my 7950 saff has been so good over the years.

Could do with one of those reference coolers now my feet are freezing :D

Yep, sapphire are top tier when it comes to amd, due to them primarily focusing on amd and apparently they are one of there premier partners.

Enjoy! When you get a chance try and bump the memory up and see how you get on with that.

Did a run at 1180/1500, no artefacts but it was throttling due to the power limit being too low even with +50PL...
Temps were still great.

Over 1500
