Muslim family complains about non believer burial plot.

Multi-faith cemetery was chosen and now they are complaining? Where is the sense in this? They should have bought more plots to avoid this happening, or buried elsewhere.

Surely the Muslim family should have forked out the extra money to get a space in an Islamic grave year.

"Multifaith" grave yard and then complaint that there's more than just one faith in it seems somewhat retarded.

Also how far apart do they have to be to be considered not buried together

It's this just gypsy culture trying to use general public opinion on Muslims for a bit of sympathy PR?

They paid for the plot and there are no faith segregated areas, so surely the other family have no grounds to ask for the body to be moved. If they have a problem then they shoukd have their family member moved.

seems the most sensible and logical choice, infact the only choice in such a situation.

It seems like even the gypsies are making up stories about Muslims to make a quick buck. Which the media (especially the newspapers) love to buy.

Gypos would do anything to make money.

Yet the council have conformed the complaint and are set to discuss it.

What nonsense. They should stop complaining, leave the dead where they are and get on with life.

This.

I remember a muslim family in the USA, that bought some land next to a pig farm, then complained about the pigs being out.

Why do muslims cause trouble where ever the go?

If you want examples of non muslims "causing trouble wherever they go" and class that as an example for Muslims, then have a look at the literally hundreds of complaints by non mulsims who move into things like picturesque villages then complain about the local church (circa 1000ad or earlier) with it's bells that the locals have been ringing at the same sort of times for most of the last 500 years...

Or people moving next to things like farms and complaining about the smell, or the noise of the tractors in the morning, or moving into the country and complain about the noise of the wildlife in the morning (there are almost certainly threads about such nonsense being reported in the papers on here if you search back).

It isn't just Muslims who are stupid about where they decide to live and then make complaints about things that have been there for years/centuries.

We don't know what aspect they're discussing.

In all likelihood, they're discussing how they can ensure procedures are updated to leave no element of doubt for families using the cemetery over what the religious policies are. The problem being caused, it would seem, by a misunderstanding between the council and the Muslim family.

It may also need to be discussed whether there is anything practical that the council should offer the Muslim family, should the council be of the belief that they failed to correctly inform the family of what they were getting with the plot.

They won't be discussing forcing the exhumation of the dead Gypsy. Because it can't happen.

There is no way that any publicly funded graveyard should even have a religious policy.

They would probably need a religious policy to, at the least, state that there are no special religious policies ;)

Though I don't see why there shouldn't be some tailoring available to suit individuals' beliefs. Things just need to be clear and fair from the outset.

By the way, next to my Brother-in-law's grave, there is an epitaph which reads;

If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever
So someone gets to look like a moron for eternity. Quite sad really that no-one pointed it out :(

Over 50,000 UK families leave for the USA every year to live.
Now show me just one protest\moaning from them in any state. You won't because we INTERGRATE very well ;)

What a load of **** from everyone involved.

Let's be honest, no one really cares about this story but hey ho its another excuse to have a go at people we don't like. Seems in this thread you can pick Muslims, Gypsies or a local council.

Lol. There's no chance of the body being exhumed without agreement. Any suggestion that there is is just sexing up by the article.

Nothing to see here, basically.

This.

To exhume a body, you need a licence. To get a licence "you’ll need to get the signature of any close relatives, the owner of the grave plot and the burial authority."

Apply for an exhumation license

British media at it's best.
