Nice!
Hey, you beat my score with the same clocks
When you overclock does the card stay in 3D clocks even when idle like mine?![]()
I watched the same tech showdown video. I thought the PCS+ should have won it tbh. Vapor was behind it (or equal) in every single test except for the fan speed utilisation and noise. That is, the PCS+ was the coolest card but was at 76% fan speed whereas the Vapor was only at something like 50%
Agree at £199 it seems an absolute steal atm. Especially at seeing the overclocks possible.
Did you get it from ocuk btw? Was the free game included? (Civilization Beyond Earth i think)
Dont know what you mean by 3d clocks
what am i looking for in msi afterburner?
That is stable run as well with no artifacts pleased as punch![]()
3D clocks are the core and mem speed of the card when running a game or benchmark so for example your 3d clocks when you were overclocking were 1180/1500.
When the graphics card isn't being stressed it should be in 2D clocks which are 300/1350 for the PCS+
When I overclock my card stays at the overclocked speeds (3D clocks) all the time, it should downclock to 2D clocks when idle (surfing the web, word processing ETC...)
Anyway might try for that magical 1200Mhz later, need to figure out a way of increasing the power limit more though...
Ah i get it now, mine down clocks at idle. Just checked my vddc in gpu at max it reached 1.305 is that a safe for vddc ?
Ok thanks for checking, something wrong my end most likely then.
As for your Vddc which I believe is your GPU's core voltage, I had a look on google and that seems ok for air cooling, though I personally wouldn't want to go beyond that for 24/7 usage.
Got to 1220/1485 with +100mv, GPU-z reporting vddc at 1.250V under load.
Got 61.3 FPS
Score 1545
I also tried 1200/1515 but got a much worse score.
You win this one richardmr2354![]()
It could be your cpu that's holding you back? mines overclocked to 4.4 so might give me an edge?
Anything above 1500 on memory is a no go, however i did not try it with the slider upto a 100 volts. Also check gpuz and look to see what type of memory you have. Mines samsung whats yours?

Blimey guys! I need to get to work!
Some pretty good scores there![]()
Come on savageThe honor of the lightning msi flagship is in your hands!

Hahah, i'll get to work after i've had my dinner.
I don't really understand the voltages thing? Mind giving a brief explanation?
You're just under 100 score point above me when i stopped last night, without any memory tweaks.
Good man, go into msi afterburner, click settings tab and unlock voltage. It wont let you go add more than 100 millivolts anyway. Simply add more voltage by sliding the voltage tab say 50. Then add increments to your gpu clock and bench. i followed the guy in this post he started at +60 volts and 1180/1500 clock. You will know when you need to add more voltage because you will start seeing artifacts when benching. Ive used max 100 volts and not had any problems.
