I think the more important question should be why does the media print such stories? If this so called incident was done by a person of another religion or ethnicity would they have published it or would it have generated so much fuss?

3 Muslim students were killed in America yesterday and I don’t see a thread about them in ocuk, but of course this incident is more important

What is this I don't even! This has got to be a wind up. Surely if any of them actually believed in their own nonsense they'd know they're all going to the same hell.

These idiots believe in "one" God yet their actions are based on assumptions that there are actually multiple gods who will claim each religion's respective dead bodies? Doesn't make sense.

I was just about to post the same thing. No party in this debacle has any legal rights to exhume a body.

Just to update this thread...

Turns out the muslim family didn't ask for the body to be exhumed...

In other words: a Muslim family were told they’d been reserved a certain space in the graveyard, large enough to ensure non-Muslims weren’t buried right next to their dead relative, only for part of this to be given – seemingly in error – to Shadrack Smith’s family. When they complained, the council asked his relatives at short notice if they could still move [4 days prior to the burial] to a different site, and the other was no.

"An inaccurate, divisive and inflammatory article printed in the Hinckley Times appeared to indicate that Burbage Parish Council has considered the exhumation of a person recently interred . . . – this is totally untrue and without foundation."

As I said in an earlier post that story was a plant. I can only imagine the press were testing who the public hate the most muslims or the romany / traveller / gypsies communities.

From my brief read I can't see why he has to be moved because someone else complained they should either move their dead or put up with the non believer's proximity.

Read properly. Muslim family request "muslim area", get request "granted" as muslim graves need to be in a certain orientation then bury their father. A few years later Romany family request large gravesite and get assigned one next to muslim grave.

Muslim family find out before burial of Romany and complain to council, thinking it is a muslim area. Council then ask romany family if they can move the burial location of their father (pre burial), family decline (because it is too soon before burial and grave had already been dug).

Press find out and runs story about muslim family wanting to exhume "unbelievers" body. Subsequently exposed as a pack of lies but major newspapers don't report retraction...
