Do you arrive early/stay late at work?

At 7:30am? Not quite!

One that gives you 12 weeks holiday a year??? ( I cant argue my wife is one too!)

My hours are officially 8am to 4:30pm Mon to Thurs and 8am to 4pm on Friday. However my actual work hours tend to be 8am to 5:30pm each day.

I also don't really get a lunch break, I have a choice of staff room or office. In the office I can internet/read but get interrupted every 15 minutes and keep an eye on my emails. If I choose the staff room I get hounded constantly by people telling me about PC issues. I tend to pick office!

My contract states 40hrs a week with core hours being 10am to 4pm.

I like to get in early so that I can leave any time between 4-5pm and still do my hours. Actually I still do more than my hours, but I don't care as I enjoy my job. :) I don't get paid overtime, and I believe in work/life balance - so whilst I will put in the extra time from time to time, I won't do it by default.

I work in a startup, I get in between 8.50 and 9.15. The latest I'll start a new task is 5.45 and then I'll leave when that task is done.

Normally between 6 and 7.15.

Usually I arrive a bit early and leave dead on time, but I work in IT support so if something needs fixing I will have to work late occasionally.

Currently 9-5 I arrive around 8:30 -8:45 most days unless the traffic is really bad.

I start a new job next month though with earlier hours, 7-3:30 so I'll have to see how that works out!

Always 5mins late, mainly because i exercise before work and sit in the sauna for 20mins instead of 15min. The daily sauna is a treat due to getting up early and it allows me to meditate for 15mins and get things in my mind in order prior to work. That is unless the retired indian chef chap is in the there demanding conversation in a loud way. (Indian kitchens must be full of mentilists is what i can gather so far)

As for leaving early, somedays bang on 1700 other days 1715 other days 1800 onwards. Staying late proves nothing apart from

A your not good enough to do what you need to do
B you enjoy it (i tend to stay late when i am deep into modelling something up and not doing crappy paperwork DVP specs etc etc)
C Your company needs to employ more people.
D You dread going home as homelife is ****.

37 Hours with core of 9:30-3:30, with friday being a half day.

It's normally the case of 7 hour day on Monday then make the time up later on in the week.

I come in 15min before I start.
I am ready to leave 15min before end, straight out the door.

I'm first in, an hour before every one else but my hours are adjusted to reflect this, so I leave an hour earlier. That said I'm still in 15 minutes before I need to be and usually leave on time.

I'm not opposed to staying later or coming in earlier but I manage my time and workload well to avoid it so my routine outside of work isn't interrupted.

It doesn't go unnoticed but isn't rewarded.

As I run my own business which is on the same site as my house I get in when I want and leave when I want.

All my employees are on self rostering so also come and go as they please which reduces sick to almost nil.

My arrival time is somewhat dependent on the traffic. On a normal day I'll be in maybe 15 - 20 minutes early. On a bad day, when there's an accident on the A14 for instance, it can be anything up to 11AM before I breeze through the door :p

I leave about 5pm +- a few mins.

Usually start about half an hour early, although often I won't really start working until 9AM.
Always try to leave at 5PM on the dot. But over the last year, we have been developing our software for a major new customer, and where necessary I have worked late to ensure release deadlines are met.

My timings change massively. Due to the nature of the film industry. Some morning ill be in at 4 am and finish at 8/9/10 pm. Others (if its during prep) Ill do 8am till 6pm. Again shoot days once everything is settled can easily be a 6am till 7pm day, but if theres issue i could be getting in at 5am and leaving at 8 /9.

The rate is daily, whether i work 1 hour or 24 hours. Unless the camera goes over its normal 10 hour day and then Overtime is paid until the camera wraps. But that doesn't mean the end of my day :(

If I've been asked to urgently complete something by the end of the day and I haven't finished it, then it's fair game to stay a little longer until I have. That doesn't often happen and things can be carried over to the following day. My boss makes me feel a bit guilty, though: our hours are 8am-4pm, but he very frequently stays far beyond that, only leaving on time if he has a commitment - I can't remember when he left on time just because. I get in about 20 minutes early because I like to beat the traffic and I do inevitably start working then and there, but I value my free time in the evenings. I also only get paid overtime if I stay for a set number of hours after 4pm, like to help out with an event in the evening, so the incentive to get a little extra money through working a mere extra 30-60 minutes per day isn't there. From time to time doing an extra 3-4 hours is fine, but I hate how that's the only way I can get overtime here.

When I used to work 9-5 I usually came in late and left early, does that count? :p

I remember the boss once pulling me into his office and asking me if I could at least try and make it into work on time, as of how it looked to the rest of the staff, I said I would try but couldn't promise anything :D

Arrive about 20 minutes beforehand, just to have a coffee, toast etc. before work starts; and will only stop back if they need me, but for at least time and a half pay.

I live 5 minutes away (walking) from work, in a supermarket, just for background info.

I arrive at literally 1 minute before i start. On the computerised clocking in/out records i arrive at 5.59, 4.59, 10.29 etc. :)

If i do stay late, i get paid for every minute of it. Again 3.02, 8.37 etc.

If asked to stay late or start earlier, I do usually agree

I tend to work fairly standard hours, around 8:15 to 4:45-5 - but can depend on what I'm doing although I rarely need to stay past 5. Although my company is very flexible on the hours I work, if I need to pop out for a short while during the day to say visit the bank they don't mind too much as long as it doesn't impact on my work/the business too much.
