BMI LOL
Oh and I thought that BMI had been largely discredited due to the way it indicates people as being overweight when they are obviously not (bodybuilders?)

I'd suggest thinking of it as a statistical tool for large populations as then it's broadly fine as an indicator but it doesn't (and isn't meant to) tell you if someone is healthy at that weight. Obviously at the extreme ends of the scale i.e. hugely over/under-weight then it's probably right to say that is unhealthy but if you are slightly under or over the "healthy" range then that is where it is more questionable and less likely to be entirely right. As with many things health related it depends on an individual assessment to see whether someone is actually healthy or not.
A weight related thread in GD .... this'll end well ....

23.8... but using BMI is a load of rubbish.
Take say for example, someone who works out a lot but is of average or just under average height. They would be classed as overweight when in fact their weight is down to muscle

And the proportion of people that actually fits that range is probably 5-10% of the population.![]()
24.9, just about normal.
Don't think that's right though, i look about 8 month pregnant.
