Encouraging stuff. As I said before if the next batch of phones disappoint then I will definitely be looking to get a Note 4.

Has the UI changed quite drastically?

Not really, I would say more cleaned and polished. I have had every Note since the first but I have always been slighted put off with Android due to the performance issues and general lack of cohesion. I got rid of my Note 3 and went to the iPhone 6 Plus which is a great experience. I then tried the Note 4, KitKat disappointed me and was about to let the Note 4 go just as this ROM dropped. Completely changed my mind now and the Note 4 feels much more Apple like in polish now but with all the extras the Note offers

The speed increase from KitKat to Lollipop is quite jaw dropping to be honest. Glad Dalvik is dead!

it literally takes 30 mins to go from low charge to the high 80's%.

I'd be hugely surprised it it did, it's a hardware level system. An android update is near enough impossible to have improved it on a functional level.

It usually does.

If your rooted, you usually go the whole hog and use a custom recovery and flash rooted roms.

Indeed, it has nothing to do with Android in fact, it's all in the chipset used.

I flashed my Note 4, does anyone else notice a red light come on the back when they lay it down?

Turn the screen off and cover the HRM on the back, does it light up?

Kies wont work if you're trying to install a non UK / BTU firmware - you'd need to use Odin.
