Games on hdd or ssd

Hi all,
Question I know ssd's are faster etc then hdd but do you install your games onto a ssd or hdd?
I know some people may have 2 ssd's in their system and hdd's

Reason I ask is I have been looking at building a new gaming system and cannot decide whether or not to have a separate ssd for os and software and another for games only then hdd's for music pictures etc.
I also know ssd won't give any difference in gaming performance either only load times.

some games load faster and some no faster than being on a hdd

it upto you but #1 for the os on an ssd,that will benefit you most

then ssd for long loading/most played games,and hdd for everything else
 
The only thing I store on HDD now is video/documents/music/photos.

All programs/Games/OS on SSD.

They're cheap enough now to achieve this without worrying about space.
 
I have

250GB SSD - OS/Progarms - has BF4 loaded onto it as it loads quicker.
128GB SSD - Steam and other games
1TB HDD - Shadowplay and game backups for when I am modding
1TB HDD - Downloads, media, films, pictures etc
 
As I understand it, there is no major gain for games running on an SSD except where loading times are concerned - and perhaps games that make a lot of disk reads. I'd be interested to hear otherwise, but as it stands I would probably use an SSD for the latest games only, and a HDD for anything pre-dating the past 12 months.
 
I've put my OS and most played games and applications on my SSD, anything else I put on the HDD. Makes most sense I guess
 
Most of my games are on a normal HD,

BF4 is installed to an SSD though as I can get into the game quicker & crash a helicopter/jet before most other people join
 
More ram is an idea. SSD for big games - for example I noticed a big difference in load times off ssd in far cry 4, which loads a lot (maybe I just die a lot). BF4 online is more dependant on the server etc etc
 
Not having a super great history with modern HDD's compared to those some 20 years ago, I've moved everything on the main rig over to SSD other than documents (USB2/3 Flash).

Games, Major and Minor Applications, OS, etc.

Only exceptionally large files do I store on HDD's now and they are backed up by other HDDs and other media.

sorry, I meant games, programs and OS, things like huge files, video files etc all on a normal HDD otherwise the SSD will cost a small fortune lol

2TB Samsung / Shadowplay, Downloads & Random crap!

gonna buy another SSD tho for when GTA5 comes out!

dont think im ever gonna run outta space..
