2.3 turbo so 250 bhp standard. Going to get a noobtune map then just keep it serviced. Plenty of shove for a daily anyway!

I think a W211 06 onwards is a good shout. By then they were facelifted and made numerous changes such as the radiator, which were previously known for being a bit unreliable!

Unfortunately, it is an e240 petrol guzzler (2.6 V6).

Indeed. Tempting but the reliability is off-putting.

This has been in the family since new, besides the SBC pump being replaced and the usual consumables, it has been OK.

Its now got 152k miles on it.

I really like those, IMHO nicest E Class they ever made. Interior is lovely.

Indeed the interior is a nice place to be, matched with an excellent 10 speaker sound system (factors sub & centre dash speaker) and heated seats, among other goodies.

Unforunately, this still plagues them. It has a small bit of rust developing around one of the rear arches, although I put that down to a poor repair job done back in 2003/2004.

The issue is they are using steel wheel weights anyway!

Yep, it's on my list of things to sort as well as getting the wheels refurbished and having the correct colour centre caps .

Awesome. I've head a lot of good things about noobtune. I'm running a B204 at 354bhp, fantastic engines!

Here's my JCW after making a few changes. Removed a bit of chrome because there was too much so now the headlight and taillight rings have been colour coded along with the mirror caps. The side scuttles housing the side repeaters have been swapped for black ones from chrome too.

Currently running my spare wheels while I sort out refurbishing the original ones. Much prefer the silver wheels rather than the black it came with.
