US: Black Sails - STARZ's new original series, with pirates!

Liked season one a lot in the end - had its downright weird moments but it's not an out and out pirate show half the time!

Noticed straight away that the actor playing Dufresne (the book keeper with the glasses) has changed in season 2 - not sure I like the new guy as much in that role but hey ho!

Reading around it looks like the recast could not have been helped

Decided to catch up the few episodes after abandoning it few episodes ago.

Borefest, season 2 has skipped on nudity big time compared to season 1.

Some scenes are nice but too much involved drama I may just keep it as background static watching :)

Just finished the second season and can safely say I enjoyed it much more than the first season. You could tell from the first season it had potential but was very slow going and ponderous. This season has done a lot more with tension, set pieces and bringing the British into it much more.

I got halfway through 104 last night and realised that I hadn't got a clue what was happening or what happened in the previous 3 because it's that bad.
I'm not bothering with it.
I've been watching it lately and I'm upto episode 8 of Season 1. Haven't a clue what is going on or what any of the characters names are. Just watching it for the girls and that's about it. Mind you the Man O War bit in that episode had some hilarious acting.

Kind of binge watched the second season over the last week or so. Really enjoyed it. The Cpt Flint revelation was a little odd, but okay.

It's also always kinda fun to see two arch enemies, both very powerful people, team up to defeat a common foe. Will be interesting to see what happens with that in Season 3.

Interesting to see how Silver lost his leg too.
