Maybe, I am simply venting my anger for them cocking my order up and then not bending over backwards for me to rectify it. :D
Having to return a wrongly sent item though is ******* annoying and they haven't even given me a return address yet, so more ******* waiting.

Well this got me annoyed

Me too.

Let's face facts though. If all of a sudden everyone who smoked switched to vaping the government would a) lose a shed load of money in tax revenue and b) have to cope with a shed load of people living a lot longer.

Don't add up do it?

Indeed, although UKIP want to stop them being taxed by the EU apparently, not that I'd vote UKIP anyway.

I put my complaints in anyway and got the generic copy and paste reply from the BBC that a lot of people seem to have had:

Thank you for sharing your concerns about an interview with the Chief Medical Officer, Professor Dame Sally Davies, broadcast on the BBC News Channel.

The main point of the interview was to get Dame Sally's views on the upcoming ban on smoking in cars with children. At one point presenter Gavin Esler asked if the ban also covered 'vaping'. Dame Sally explained that it would not and she went on to express her concerns about the potential health impact of e-cigarettes:

"They put in flavourings - we don't know the impact of those. Butterscotch had to be withdrawn because people got chronic lung disease."

This was seemingly in reference to a story broadcast by the BBC last year, where we found that an e-cigarette liquid manufacturer had included a potentially dangerous butterscotch flavouring in one of its products. Experts said that the flavouring, diacetyl, had been shown to cause very serious lung conditions in the past.

So Dame Sally was correct in that there had been a case of butterscotch flavouring being withdrawn over health concerns, although we appreciate that you feel this point could have been explored further. During a live interview it’s not possible to question a guest over every point they raise and, in this case, the main point of discussion was the upcoming ban on traditional cigarettes.

Once again, thank you getting in touch.

Completely missed the point then, so I made a follow up complaint with a bit of copy and pasting from that vapers.org.uk article:

Your response was correct regarding the withdrawal of a butterscotch flavoured e-liquid. The VIP Butterscotch e-liquid was found to have traces of diacetyl, which in sufficient quantities and exposure can lead to bronchiolitis obliterans (popcorn lung), although NO case of this has ever been reported from either vaping or smoking, and cigarette smoke contains magnitudes more diacetyl than that found in the bottle from VIP (0.05 to 0.1%).

For her to say "Butterscotch had to be withdrawn because people got chronic lung disease." isn't just an exaggeration, it is completely false. If two smokers who watched that interview were scared off switching to vaping, one of them will die from it, and the responsibility for that death will lie with Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer, and the BBC.

It will probably get ignored too but it's worth trying imo.

And for those of you who might be a tad confused wrt the term " flying one", here's a a definition from that there internet

"
Though used in daily speech, little is actually known about the flying ****. Native to Africa, this flightless bird tends to be secretive and rarely allows itself to be visible, hence, examining it in it's natural habitat is nearly impossible. Due to their extreme lack of activity within the community, they were considered a rare commodity throughout several African villages. The term "I don't give a flying ****" Originally meant that you could not put a price on such an item or service, but after translation and over use, the statement now means the exact opposite of this.

just because it's mentioned in urban dictionary, doesn't mean it is true. flying **** has been in service far longer than that definition. the flying part has bog all to do with rare flightless african birds, it's just a little bit of Onomatopoeia to emphasise the meaning.

I love hearing of the origins of sayings and words; though the roots do have to be correct.

I would say more of an alliteration. :)

I thought it was pretty obviously a joke, amused me anyway.

Come on, a flightless bird called the flying ****, how can you possibly take that seriously? :p

Gn Boge!

Humour was never my forte.

Oh I'm definitely enjoying it. I think I might know why the taste isn't that great.. I may have mixed up juices by emptying my Atlantis into the wrong bottle when changing flavours, doh. :p Ah well, at the rate it's guzzling the juice it won't be long until I can change it up. Just switched back to the Subtank on the 30W and the clouds seem a bit lacklustre!

Did your Sigelei have the big GH stamp on it too or am I just really unlucky?

Ah right! You just helped me suss why mine has SW stamped on the side, was trying to figure it out a few times today. Is yours stamped on the opposite side to the firing button in a small oval b.t.w.?

Got mine from from Svapo Web, hence the SW of course!:D

*Edit. Just noticed Grey Haze are sold out of the Black Mutation X V3, so that's the real reason they sent me the silver without even asking me? Hope he has a Black one to send me and is not just going to refund me once I return it.

Yeah that's exactly where it is, it's a circle instead of an oval though, pic of it here seen through the nasty cover:

That'd be pretty lame if that was the case, very much doubt I'll be using them again. Was slightly annoyed after I ordered my Billow from them as I found out I could've got a black version elsewhere, but was my own fault for not looking into it really.

Aye, I shouldn't fling accusations like that. It's more than likely a mistake and he has taken the last one out of stock ready for me.

Mine is a bit more discrete.

I should also say Svapo Web were brilliant to order from and the price was the cheapest I have seen.
It worked out £59.91 delivered! Shipping was quicker than I expected too, ordered Thursday and received it Tuesday.
I like Italian companies, I always feel like I am receiving quality all round. :)

Just hit the "go" button on an order of Mrs Lord's Custard Cream. 6mg nic, 50ml, for £23. Has anyone tried this? I'm hoping that it's as nice as it sounds! I went straight in with the 50ml bottle, as it was about 25% cheaper per ml than the 15ml bottle.

Also grabbed more Venus, from Space Jam, also 6mg. I can't get enough of the peanut buttery goodness!

This is my first foray into 6mg, after starting on 18 back in August, and moving down to 12mg in December. I hope it's enough and I don't get cravings for more nicotine.

Still using the Atlantis on the Sig 100w at .5ohm. I meant to grab the 5ml tank upgrade at the time of ordering the above, but I forgot! :(

Will probably give it another month and grab a Delta II with the RBA deck to take my first steps into rebuilding.

I never thought I'd stop smoking, but now I can't even remember the last time I've had an analogue! A lot of that is down to the awesome advise I've gotten on here, so thanks a lot guys :)

I like Mrs Lords CC, it is a nice custard and biscuit. As with most custards, it needs another week at least in the steeper imo. :)

Try it when you get it, then put it away for a week or two, longer if you can. ;)

Anybody else concerned about the EU TPD due to come in to force next year?

For those of you that don't know it includes such wonderful things as

Eliquid must be sold in pre-filled cartridges of 2ml or less. (which contradicts another point where they say "refills can only hold a max of 10ml)
20mg Nicotine is the max that can be sold
E-Cigs must provide a consistent dose of nicotine (cigarettes don't though, this would probably kill off VV/VW devices)
E-Cigs MUST allow leak free filling
If 2 or more member states deem a product/ingredient as a health risk it get's prohibited EU wide

A lot of people will switch to DIY if this does come in to effect but I suspect that the Nicotine base will end up with huge shipping restrictions or massive tax hikes instead.

I've never really paid much heed to being in the EU and it's not really bothered me until now. The only political party making noises against these regulations is UKIP and I'd rather go back to smoking than give them my vote :(

Wasn't a fan of Mr's Lords, didn't taste right to me.

Going to order some Spectrum Custard on Friday.
