Does owning a top end pc change you as a person?

Gaming these days is mostly with the kids Pc is just used to watch youtube or tv programs
poor thing is middle aged now will replace in another 2 years maybe.

my logic is by spending a lot of money on an awesome pc i will quickly save this money back by ot going out spending money :p

We get people like this coming into to work all the time to buy his and hers bikes, mainly older people too.

It looks so silly. A little bigger than trolley wheels with huge long handle bars. Looks like something from Mr Peabody.

So I'm on the train and the ticket master comes around. I whip out my phone and show hi the spec in my sig… free ride

I'm glad my wife understands my hobby and allows me some time to enjoy it by myself.

At the end of the day, ask yourself how has sitting at my PC for hours on end enriched my life? If you can find a meaningful and honest answer to that which you're happy with continue on.

Trouble with a top tier rig is.... there's just SO. MUCH. ENTERTAINMENT.

It will sap away your soul and before you know it you're sitting alone in a dark room basked in the light of multiple monitors, with no local friends, receiving boxes of computer tech every week, turning fat and your wife goes to bed every night without you.

I own a fairly decent setup, but for me it's just another form of entertainment, it's nice to have sure, but i do get bored of it now and again just like any other entertainment form.

I've sold my fairly bad gaming laptop and I've bought a top end pc, all the shebang, dual 144hz monitors etc. Whilst it's abnsoloutely amazing and I can't wait to get home from work every day, I find at work that I basically don't give a crap about much at the moment. Does anyone else find this? It's as though once I have this pc, I don't need anything, so I don't go seeking friendship etc. I get bored of conversation easily. Basically I don't care about small talk any more.

I'm quite worried. I have been doing really well at this firm up until now but I suspect this recent change in my life may change things. SURELY some of you fellow pc enthusiasts face similar situations?

Which one is you?

I'm the same, ever since I got my top end PC I walk around with a bit more swagger, feel a bit more superior to everyone. My girlfriend gets less attention from me, I just want to stay in with my top end PC. I'm considering cancelling my summer holiday just so I can spend more time at home with it.

This really made me chuckle.

But surely the original post is not a serious question? If so the poster really does need to get out more.
