okay so, past two days, iv been using this airek rda instead of the mutation X V2 clone (which is 99% identical to the mutation X v3).
And like I said few days ago, flavour is better, air flow twice as good but it has has cons, so heres my verdict on the mutation X vs Airek rda.
Airflow: Airek, wide open is about 3x more air flow than the mutation. also, the way its designed, you can adjust it so you know where the air is going to actually flow on the airek, you know what direction its going to flow towards the coils by vision when you adjust the airflow
Flavour: Airek, not sure why, but the flavour despite being built for clouds only, it wins with flavour but....
Flavour consistency: Mutation X.... reason? see below.
Juice well size: Mutation X, with the mutation X, you get etleast 8 good decent pulls wide open at 0.18 ohms 60w before you need to drip, with the airek, 4 pulls, even if not wide open and your drawing burnt cotton, the juice well is really shallow to say its built to chuck clouds, I mean if its built to do that, its gonna use juice, so why not drill the juce well deeper?..
Connection posts/coil build: Mutation X. The mutation X has 4 post holes, the airek has 3 post holes with ******* flimsy screws, literally I had to get my socket set out and find a screw driver head on a wrench to tighten the screws down tight enough to twist my kanthal to snap out of the opposite end that my kanthal fed into the connection post hole. (if that makes sense) I twist my kanthal to snap it off rather than clipping it when I can, makes a cleaner look, but yeah, the airek, 3 post design, crap in every way really. mutation X for the win, 4 posts, cant go wrong.
Heat of the RDA: Mutation X, its got heat fins on it. though the air flow is less, it keeps its self cool from the heat fins around its top cap, and if that isn't the reason why it keeps its self cool, then it must be magic. Using the airek for the past 2 days, iv been using about 50% more air flow than I used on the mutation X (which for the airek is about half open compaired to the mutation X wide open I used to vape at), and even at them settings of the airek half open which is double the airflow of the mutation X, the rda its self gets twice as hot, scorching hot infact,
Actually, it gets that warm, iv added this heatsink to the bottom of it to keep it cooler:
That brings onto another and probably last thing to this review the 510 connector.
510 connector: Neither is a winner, the mutation X v2/v3 etc, the screw so loose, but it always makes a connection, so don't worry about that, but it turns with a finger nail (unless you ofc tighten it tight with a screw driver).
Where as on the other hand the Airek, the 510 base its self is about 2mm deeper, so youll probably never need to actually unscrew the adjustable 510 screw, infact its that long the 510, that it doesn't sit flush on my sigelei 100w box mod, which is a bit of a disaapointment, but when I say it doesn't sit flush on a 100w sigelei v1, literally im talking 2/3rds of a millimetre if that with the sigelei's adjustable screw screwed all the way in, on the floating pin new v2 sigelei's it might sit flush, I don't know. but it fits my mech mods and sits flush, so just bare in mind, the 510 connection is literally what, 2mm longer than the mutation X's.
Which one would I buy given a choice now I know the differences between them?
both, id be gutted if I didn't have either of them. but I mean, iv used my mutation X because I had nothing better, but since iv got the airek, iv not put it down. but its just a pain the amount you got to drip, 4 big pulls and its done even when the liquids almost overflowing. the mutation X you get a lot more pulls.
I guess its up to you to decide which you want from there, but I recommend both, cant go wrong with either. but id not go for the airek unless you build coils 0.2ohms or below otherwise its actually a waste. at 0.18 ohms, I feel like its wasted on me a bit.

but iv got plenty of time to experiment!
Edit:
Though both are clones, Build quality etc review below:

The mutation X, tollerences with the O-rings etc, perfect, cant fault them at all actually nothing to report, apart from when I got mine cause its a clone, was full of machine metal filings, but you know, just give it a brush off, 6 quid vs 25 quid?..
Airek, machining quality, top notch, no machine oil, no metal shavings at all, perfect totally perfect... but the O-rings, dang they loose, I replaced them before I even made my first build in them, and even still the o ring of outter barrel is that loose that when I go to change the air flow (the top cap) though the top cap has eliquid on it making it slippyer, it still turns the outter barrel, I need a thicker o ring, and I cant actually find one in my 500pc o-ring kit to make the outer barrel tight enough so that it doesn't move.
The mutation X has two O-rings securing the outer barrel, the airek definitely needs the same, but its just a minor inconvenience that it has, you can place your finger and thumb on the outer barrel to hold it whilst holding your mod that its attached to, whilst using your other hand to adjust the air flow etc.. its not so loose that it falls off don't get me wrong, but it could be tighter. where as the mutation x outter barrel, you actually have to use force to get it on, where as the airek, just tested it now, it slipped on with my pinkey finger and that's with a thicker o-ring than standard.
Also, I think ill use the mutation X when im out of the house, because it still performs fantastic, but because it has the deeper juice well, you don't have to drip half as often. but indoors, its the airek all the time.
But, like I said a few pages back. iv ordered another one of each from slow tech, im going to build a hybrid, a mutation X base etc, with a airek outter barrel so I have the best of both
