Even before the shotgun buff, why would you do this?

That said, I'm hardly one to talk. I sharded my Universal Remote a couple of weeks ago because I couldn't be bothered to log into a different character and transfer exotic shards to the vault. In my defence, it was a pre-DLC version, and I hardly ever used it. Definitely picking a new one up from Xur today, now that it has been turned into pretty much the best thing ever.

I have a void Dead Orbit fusion rifle for praetorian duties....and I was scraping scraping together energies to get my black hammer upgraded at the time. Got swordbreaker on my first CE run.

The new companion app for phones will stop you doing that again, no more character switching and dumping stuff in the vault. You can now do it without messing about from your phone or indeed bungie.net. Such a time saver, especially mid raid and you've left a weapon/ammo snack packs behind that are stuck on another guy :]

No problem. Hopefully the NF and WH will be kind to you.

Good news is that the NF & WH will both put you nicely towards your next VG rank plus you will gain a ~ 20% buff to your XP & rep until the next reset.

On a seperate note - have you finished Eris's quest line yet? It nets you Murmur a rather nice fusion rifle.

Just started on them last night, gonna hopefully get through them over the weekend. Is it easy enough to do alone?

The universal remote was critting for nearly 2300 on elites and that's without the precision damage/damage upgrades. Fully upgraded it will be a beast.

I don't think they will change them much now as sniper rifles are still viable and are the better choice a lot of the time. Snipers are safer and they can crit for more, but for raw damage on a close target shotguns are now optimal(as they should be).

Shotguns sorely needed a buff in PvE. In the high end PvE stuff like nightfalls and raids, you generally don't want to get close to enemies, because they will murder you in the face. That makes shotgun usage a high risk activity. Now, the reward for that high risk is a bit more proportional.

Bungie didn't nerf/buff the weapons because of people complaining; they simply looked at the stats of what weapons people were using and not using and adjusted them accordingly. They're trying to obtain a level playing field (for better or for worse).

EDIT: Also, with all due respect, let's move on from "girls" being a derogatory term - it makes the OcUK forums sound like the Bungie forums.

I think scout rifles and machine guns could do with a buff.never really use them.

I'm loving pulse rifles now though for the first time ever.

Pulse, shotgun and rockets is the go to setup on pve

I don't mind running it with you, it won't be until Sunday though, I have to do it a few times on some of my guys along with the nightfall, but have a pre arranged team for that, on bloody 360 though :/

they won't change it because they already have changed it this week to be those 2 for the next few weeks.

changing it again would make zero sense.

for example he predicted everything this week and said there would be heavy ammo. bungle pushed an update this week. he then mined the info again and it was the exact same minus heavy ammo. so they have made their changes already.

so he has already predicted it all before and they never changed apart from the heavy ammo and chances are they changed that because of them fixing the bug.
