Hey guys, I'm not entirely sure if I'm allowed to ask about this on here or not so please tell me if not.
Just wondering if anyway knows the prices for HDD' and SSD' in Thailand at the moment? I have a friend going out there over Easter and if they are significantly cheaper I may get him to grab me some.

what happens if it then breaks? or doesn't work to start with?

ssd's and hds are so cheap now compared to what they used to be, it's just not worth the risk.

Yeah I was thinking along those lines, I'll see just how cheap they are and if its pennys I'll get one, whats the worst that could happen?

I was there a couple of weeks ago, and was very disappointed. Prices the same or worse than the UK. Partly down to poor exchange rate I think, but also limited 'latest tech' available, eg. Loads of 850 pros, but not one evo.

You mean 840 pros? 850 pros are newer than the evos.

Nope, I mean 850 pros, and no 850 evos.

I went to Pantip plaza, an 'indoor market' for computer hardware fairly common in Asia, and decent for latest tech and prices. Unfortunately disappointing, on tech offer and price.

Also shop in Singapore in similar markets, and 9 months ago Singapore was a joy. Not sure it would be now with exchange rates.

The first time i was in Thailand my thoughts of purchasing cheap electronics were dashed when i realised things were actually more expensive there than here! Thats maybe 2004 or so, last time i was there was in 2009 and it was the same.

Seems to still be true. My mate who lives there stocked up last time he came back to the UK!
