Interestingly enough Android Central said it's likely the best of the One series yet.
Apparently the new build/design of the handset makes it much easier to hold than the M8. I definitely would be getting it in Slate Black...can't be having that gold trim.

Notice I also moved the volume buttons higher up because who wants them so close to the power button

Why do android manufacturers think it is acceptable to ship phones to review with unfinished software?
The verge and phonearea both think a software update could improve things, but why on earth is it not ironed out in the first place?
I am not going to buy a phone on the hope it gets updated to sort out a deficient component.

Pretty much every manufacturer has non-final units at events like this.

More than anything be interested in the performance of that new 20 megapixel camera on the back, only thing I really wanted from M7 was a better camera and battery life. Note 3 has spoiled my screen size wise so may also find the screen on this too small now unless they start talking about the plus model.

Seems a decent upgrade from the m7. See what happens with the s6. Sony won't come into it as I reckon they will drop the mobile scene soon.

Yeah, this was a bit disappoint. But as an M7 owner it's still an upgrade for me, and HTC still make awesome phones. So ........
